All of my pets, past and present, have been patients here. Dr. Z and Dr. Lind were the best. They were compassionate, sympathetic, and super thorough during every visit. (Key word: were) But after my dog’s most recent visit last month, it took me no time at all to realize it’s time to find a new vet. We were scheduled to see Dr. Peeler, someone I have never met before (later on I found out Dr. Lind is no longer with this practice, and Dr. Z is retiring soon). My 2 year-old mini pit is nervous in unfamiliar environments & doesn’t like to be handled by strangers. This vet, along with the technician, had zero patience and absolutely no bedside manner. Didn’t even bother to take a minute to build a little trust with my dog. Strictly business. When they couldn’t look in his ears or get him to stay still to draw blood, they made the quick decision to take him in the back (and if they ever got a blood sample, I don’t even know, but I was definitely charged for it). Their reason? “Oh it’s because you’re in the room.” Wow, talk about a lack of professionalism. I have never heard a dog SCREAM before, and it sent me into a rage when I heard mine. Cries and whimpers are one thing, but that sound horrified me. And when the tech returned with him, I caught her snarky attitude when she said, “next time you bring him in…drugs would be the way to go.” They have permanently lost my business.

I have been going to Family Vet for over 17 years, treating 8 of my dogs. Dr. Zaccone and her staff are excellent! From puppyhood until the Rainbow bridge they are compassionate, knowledgeable and patient.

I cannot recommend this practice enough. Dr. Lind-Wilson has been the most compassionate vet ive ever met. We had to put our two rats to sleep and were really struggling to know if we made the right decision and she went above and beyond to show us we did. She even went as far as showing us that after the rat passed away she found blood in the mouth which indicates they wouldnt have survived surgery if we chose to go that route instead. While im devastated we lost our little friends, she helped me not feel guilt about putting them to sleep and I cant thank her enough for that. The vet techs are super kind as well and were super sweet with our saint bernard puppy when we took her to get fixed, they even let her bring her stuffed goose into the crate :) I will NEVER go to another vet even if we move 12 hours away!

I’ve been coming here for a few years now with 3 of my dogs. 2 of which they counseled me through their journeys over the rainbow bridge. Some vets have no bedside manner and only want to sell you tests/services…not this place. Every staff member is compassionate and cares for your pet as if it’s their own. When there are difficult situations/conversations to be had, it’s done with the most professionalism and balance there can be. And if you find yourself bringing your fur baby but only leaving with their collar and leash, they allow you plenty of time with your faithful friend to say good bye. No rushing, no matter how many tears you shed. They are wonderful and I highly recommend <3

I've been taking my Dogs here for 20 years. I'm 10000% satisfied with Dr Zacone. I'd drive 20 days just to bring my Dog to Family Veterinarian. The care is the BEST. The staff are absolutely the Best of the Best!

Dr.Z is the best there is! She has always given my pets top notch care. Having a doctor that takes the time to not only listen, but give us pet parents the answers/help we need is few and far between these days. The staff is always very polite. I have never had a bad experience in the 20+ years my family has been using them. I highly recommend Family Vet.

Can't say enough great things about this veterinarian practice. Dr Lind is outstanding and truly cares about my dogs. Kim is a wonderful vet tech too. My dogs actually love coming to the vet because the staff make it such a great experience each time!

Love, love, love! We wouldn't trust the care of any of our dogs to anyone else! Fast appointments, such a loving and caring team! Cozy country farmhouse office! Highly recommend! They truly love the animals they treat and when it comes to losing a beloved dog like our Buster, we felt nothing but compassion from everyone! They treated him for many years and he loved visiting them! I know they will miss him too! We will never go anywhere else! Superb!
