Oh. My. Goodness! A pork roll vegan sandwich?! Chickpea salad sandwich (“toona”)?! And a kids menu for my vegan kid? Wow!! Everything was great. Great value, too! Great portions. You’ll leave full! They also have peanut butter cup cookie dessert things which were heavenly. And they have YUM earth candy, which is nice instead of the candy with all the colorings and dyes, so I let my child choose two 🙈 and they have CHOMP peanut butter cups and chocolate bars !

My family and I are not accustomed to vegan cuisine but we wanted to try something new! I got the beyond burger (it was incredible, this may be the permanent go to from now on), and my family each ordered the “BLT” and that too was so scrumptious. We left feeling happy, healthy, and with full bellies. The owners are incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Please PLEASE give this place a try, I promise you will not be disappointed. I live over an hour away and I may just have to ride back down to the The Gentle Giant for lunch soon.

Sadly I don't have any photos of the delicious food, I scarfed it down while driving. I ordered a BLT, loxless bagels & cream cheeze and a coconut Oreo that is baked into a coconut chocolate chip cookie. The bagel has carrot (vegan) lox, and I think it tiny sprigs of fennel and cucumber and red onions all on vegan cream cheeze. The BLT is marinated bacon tempeh, lettuce & tomato. Everything was absolutely delicious and a good sized portion for a great price. It was less than $20. Had I known they were priced so well i would have ordered more items to bring home for dinner. The cafe is clean and cute. There is a free public parking lot directly across the street do you don't have to walk more than a minute.

By brother and best friend both recommended that I try this place out and since then it has easily become one of my favorite cafes. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking to try someplace new, I highly recommend this cafe. Especially if you are struggling to find good vegan places or curious about trying vegan cooking. The food is excellent, the staff is welcoming, and the area itself has great. The Gentle Giant Cafe is the place to be!

The owners were so welcoming and friendly, and they're happy to give menu suggestions. I didn't know what to expect when I wandered in, but I was happy I did! I ended up with an all vegan bagel topped with cream cheese, carrot lox, pickled onion, fresh dill, and capers. Delicious! Got a side of tempeh bacon because I love the stuff. I can tell the owner and her husband are kind souls who put a lot of love into the menu options, and I'm excited to come back and try a soup or a burger (or both!).

The food is absolutely phenomenal and so delicious, I’m so happy to have found a place that delivers a genuinely better food alternative that’s more sustainable for both my health and the environment. Everything is so so tasty and fresh, and as someone who’s been vegan/vegetarian for several years, this is way better than the “original”. In addition to their food, their service is equally matched! I love supporting local businesses, but especially businesses owned by such kind and friendly people who are so involved with raising money for charitable causes. Everything about this place was amazing, and we can’t wait to come back!!! It’s currently take out only, but that gives you the opportunity to stop at a local Pitman craft brewery and support more local businesses!
