The car shop refused to do a state inspection giving the reason that my official issued NJ State Interim drivers license was not sufficient. The reality was the shop was too busy and despite me having scheduled an appointment 3 days prior did not want to honor it because they had to many other customers. I wasted my time going to this Mavis Discount Tire shop in Roselle Park, NJ. I recommend avoiding giving them your business.

Wahoooo I came here for the first time after seen the last 10 reviews were kind of positive. However, I left here very very disappointed. First at all, my appointment was at 10am on a Saturday, I arrived on time with all my paper to show my tires size and specifications. The front desk lady was very very helpful, professional, kind and very attention to details. However, the employees in the back; they all need to be re-train or fire all . There was one guy (Alex-Name on the shirt )in particular that step on and off from his work station like he did not care at all. He went to Mc Donalds next door and came right back while he was on duty. he was using his headphones and the staff call his attention few times to take them off - He did not care at all. My car was pulled in for services at 1045am (45 minutes late). Im not sure if I will ever come back to this location; hopefully the manager or owner reads this message and start doing something about it. I even overheard a phone call to the store manager ( Michael) explaining the issues with Alex. Apparently is not the first and the 2 people at the front desk said to each other “ We are tired of him and today is not the time to argue”. I wish to personally get a part time job here and learn all the business practices; I can personally contribute at all. P/S - I arrived at 10:03am and I left 2:05pm Positive out comes: Ace & Jay front desk representatives A+

The prices are descent but when you add up the time you sit there just to have a flat fixed that’s taking from your pay check it’s not worth it. I have tried even going when it first open and the girl at the front counter today was not happy at all. Mean mugging. Ok other people need jobs.. mayb u should pass it on..it is a customer service job🤦🏻♀️…. so if u can’t drop off your car and go like most of us… be prepared cause there service people are so slow 6 hours just for a set of tires. Also they have to be told I detailed cause they will still mess up… they took my spare tire off put a new tire in it and left the blown up tire in trunk.. so that’s another visit to go get the spare they kept and another visit for them to mount correctly because now they too busy and have to come back another day… 3 visits to get it right… be aware what you getting yourself into at roselle park location .

I'm not sure what has changed at this location but the quality of customer care has drastically declined. The lack of follow through and attention is borderline non existent. I hope there is marked improvement. I've been visiting this store for years and this location in particular, used to provide a very different experience. Don't bother to reserve a schedule a time, you will still have a minimum 2 hours wait. There were multiple concerns. As a matter of fact , I'm still awaiting a return phone call almost 24 hours later. This is after a promised call yesterday that did not happen and after sharing my disappointment then with the quality of their customer care.

I called Mavis, spoke to Salim. He was courteous and professional. When I bought my car in for service, Salim and Miguel were great, helped me and got me in and out. They were able to diagnose the issue and resolve immediately. I am happy with the service and would definitely recommend Mavis in Roselle Park.

Great experience getting a car inspection. Went with my two small children- they took the car in right away. Front desk was wonderful and helpful- even put on cartoons for my kids while we waited! Was in and out in under an hour! Will be back!

My store experience with Nay was the absolute best. It’s very easy to talk to her, she’s such a nice person. I know places like these can get busy but talking to her made the time fly. Felt like i was in and out. Thank you guys!
