Been to many many hardware stores but none compare to Drueks. Always have what you need , the owners a straight shooter and hard to come by. Love going there for supplies I need for projects and especially their bagged firewood. Best firewood around you can light a full fire with a match. You can walk around home depot or lowes looking for something and save a few cents or you can walk in here , be acknowledged , welcomed and assisted to exactly what you need. Best shop on long island

I only shop at this hardware store because there is no mask requirement. I wish other establishments would have the respect and courtesy for their customers to not require a pointless - oxygen restricting mask - that has NO SAFETY benefits. I also really love how none of the employees wear masks here. It is so refreshing to shop and interact with REAL MEN and REAL WOMEN. Thank you Steve!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is that one indispensable shop that every good town needs. Friendly and knowledgeable. In a very orderly well laid out floor plan. And you could buy almost anything for your home and hearth here with a very broad cross section of products

This place is a national monument in town for decades.they are always helpful and will get you anything even if it’s not in stock.it literally is the BEST store in the neighborhood—hands down. To the guy who got all salty about the owner not wearing a mask—I’d get over it...I’m sure he kept his distance and wasn’t looking to kiss you. You could wear 2–that would cancel out him not wearing any...

Went in and the guy behind the counter refused to wear a mask. I like to support local businesses but I won't go there if he's there. He was happy not to serve me and seems happy with that arrangement which is odd as that is the opposite of customer service and giving the. customer what THEY want.

Don't waste your time driving to the Big Box hardware stores when your local TruValue hardware store has what you need. Unless you're buying an appliance or new kitchen cabinets you're not saving any money. Druek's has a better selection of almost anything that a traditional hardware store should have without walking miles to find what you need. A great hardware store.

The one thing i love is a real hardware store. There used to be two a 1/2 mile from my home. When Home Depot opened, they went out of business. I syarted using home depot and hated it. One day about ut 3 years ago I walked into Druek's True Value. They has everything I could possibly need from a hardware store, and then some. But the best part was the personalized service with little or no wait. That was huge and thats why I go there before any of the box stores. The service abd quality are second to none. The additional cost is negligible and as far as I'm concerned, wirth it and I'm supporting my local business.

I went into the store looking for a copper fitting. The shelving and the bins where they are stored are small and some are low to the ground. They have plastic sleeves that hold index cards with pictures/prices for each item. The plastic sleeve runs the length of the Bins and maybe there were 12 of those index cards in the sleeve. Since the item that I was looking for was so low to the ground, I lifted up the plastic sleeve that hold all the cards to get a better look at an item in the bin. Maybe 6 of those cards fell out of the sleeve and perhaps most of the other cards in the sleeve did not align with the pertaining bins. I picked up the six cards that fell to the ground and I handed them to the owner. Instead of him saying "okay, no problem this sometimes happens", he began to make a big deal of this. Huffing and puffing saying "why did you do that.... I don't know why people keep doing this". I said, " I'm sorry, at least I had the courtesy of picking them up and handing them to you instead of stepping on them and walking away". He still wouldn't let it go and all in front of other customers. He was annoyed, upset and condescending as if I knocked over a display of wing nuts all over his store. It probably took him all of 5 minutes, if that, to put back the cards and align them with the bins. Hey Steve, why not try putting a piece of tape to hold them in if customers keep knocking them out and furthermore you made a customer feel like I committed a crime. If I ever come back... you might find more then six index cards on the ground for you to clean up. Congratulations my first 1 star review goes to you.

Nice little hardware store. Only been in there once, seems like they have a great selection of parts, tools, and whatnot. Even though they were slow, the staff acted like our questions were not worth their time. I'm not one to play 25 questions either. I knew what I was looking for and the staff member was quite rude. I'd be inclined to buy there again if it meant I wouldn't have to converse with any of them.
