The food here is awesome. I first was introduced to this place by my friend when he ordered doordash then i kept thinking about it again and less than 2 weeks later I drove to the location and come to find out. I pass by it regularly when I go to costco in oceanside. Birra tacos is probably better to have there or picked up instead of waiting on a delivery. The burrito's rice could've been a bit better but the stand out was the churros and the chicken quesidalls i needed that again flavors and quality were excellent. When i went to the location and ordered my food the staff was friendly. And not only did i get a chicken quesidalls & churros. I tried one the potato & churizo taco and that is a must get. Those 3 items alone and wanting to try more from the menu makes me want to introduce this place to so many others for pretty dam good mexican food that's not too far away. Now I have to see if i can get my meat based tacos on flour tortillas instead of corn(as good as the corn tortillas are) I'm curious to customize a bit. Definitely worth it. I highly recommend eating here more than once whether you order the food to be delivered, take like i did or dine in. You will not be disappointed!!! 🤤🤤🤤

Great people but this is the last time I ever come here.. here and there the food is burnt which happens. But this time all my tacos were fried to crisp. Black as charcoal and hard as rocks. I can’t believe this was put on my plate. So disgusted and will never be back. I will give the stars cause they deserve it. But I’m sorry I wont be a customer anymore

Puerta Mexicana is consistently delicious, both dine in and takeout, its our go to spot! The service is fantastic and the food and drinks are just awesome. We get the grilled chicken platter for my toddlers to split and they even cut up the chicken before they serve it, and as any parent knows, not having to cut your hungry toddler's food on a crowded restaurant table is a massive help. The Quesadilla de Birria and sangria-rita are my all time favorites, trust me, you'll love it!!

Always so amazing. Great service when you dine-in as well as take out. Birria tacos and the quesadilla are great. The Tlacoyos de nopal are my favorite when they have them on the menu . We don’t even live nearby, but go out of our way to eat here- it’s that good!

Puerta Mexicana is a tiny but super cute neighborhood joint with a friendly staff, fair prices and good portions. Most importantly I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE FOOD!!! I usually order pretty much once a week and they are hands down the BEST restaurant in East Rockaway and make some of the best Mexican food on Long Island. My go to items are the chorizo quesadilla, chicken, pork, chorizo or mushroom tacos, enchiladas mole, and the tostadas. They have great guacamole, salsas and vegetarian options as well. Definitely a great spot for the authentic Mexican food lover! *Update, recently ate inside and had the new quesi tacos de birria, ... OMG, I'm in love!!! 😍 😋🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Delicious nachos and fun decorations ! I love the deign of the furniture.. the tables and chairs are art! They also have 30 margarita flavors & happy hour on tues and wed. This place is a local gem. Highly recommend 👍. Good service too.

Today was my 2nd time having lunch at Puerta Mexicana. First off, I included a picture of the drink menu because they have such a wide variety of Margarita flavors. Last time I had Passion Fruit & today I tried Coconut - both really good! Today, I kept it simple and ordered Carne Asada Steak Quesadillas & Marinated Pork Quesadillas knowing I would leave with some leftover to try half of each. Both were amazing and will definitely be going back to try more flavor drinks and different menu items. They are a small business and especially now we have to support the small businesses in our communities after these past 2 years - come check them out!

First time to eat in this Mexican restaurant. I should say this is the most clean and nice I've been. The decoration is colorful and inviting. The vibes is very calm, peaceful and romantic. The food is delicious. We order tacos, chicken bowl, tostadas, sopes and elote all flavorful. For drinks we got Horchata & Tamarindo its not too sweet its refreshing. For dessert we got Tres leches which I don't usually order coz most places have it too sweet but this place just put it together just right. The staffs are friendly and they have parking outside. Definitely will come back here when we go to Long Island NY again.

I was in Long Beach, typed Mexican food on Waze and ended up here. I ordered tacos “grilled chicken,steak,shredded chicken, shrimp” omg they were so delicious! Pina colada was very good too! I’d highly recommend this spot, outside dining also available, clean restaurant and restrooms.
