I had been having trouble with my online banking for a very long time. I expressed my concern and Alex took my phone number and got it all figured out for me and called me first thing the next morning to let me know it was taken care of. It's very appreciated. Really a bad experience here, glad to cut ties with this place. I began banking with Chemung canal because I was looking for a local, small bank with personable customer service. It took 5+ days to get a phone call with a supervisor regarding a hidden and persisting problem on my account which cost me hundreds of dollars in fees as the time past. Between the unreliability of the management, the erratic opening and closure of branches and the fact that my favorite tellers all left because their own time there was so unpleasant, at this point it's unclear whether Chemung canal is actually a bank or just pretending to be.
