The people are all caring and loving to my cats. The tech, Jeana made my cat so relaxed. You could tell she was doing her job with love for animals. From the receptionists to the Drs, they were kind and compassionate

We've been bringing our dogs to South Putnam Animal Hospital for the past 22 years. Their commitment to our pets well being has been unwavering - they are dedicated, thoughtful, up to date to with care options and prompt when you arrive for visits. We've sadly seen the end of life for a couple of our dogs over the years and we couldn't have asked for a more compassionate team to help us through it.

I love this animal hospital! The receptionists are extremely helpful and polite. Dr. Fixman always treats my dogs and myself with a caring, knowledgeable, and informative manner. I have been using South Putnam Animal Hospital for greater than 10 years. I have never had an issue with the treatment of my pets or the respect I always receive as a pet owner. I love the way Dr. Fixman talks to me so that I really have a good understanding of what is going on with my pets. I highly recommend both Dr. Fixman and the entire staff at South Putnam Animal Hospital. Kudos to everyone for the excellent service and going above and beyond!

Horrible experience, we have brought our animals here for years but will be stopping immediately. My dog has had some health issues over the past few months. I brought her in to be checked because I knew something was wrong, she had vomited many times and was lethargic. The vet completely dismissed it, saying it must be due to a prior diagnosis. Sent us home with nausea medication and painkillers. Later in the day there had been no improvement so she needed emergency care and ended up passing away. My best advice would be to stay as far away from here as possible, unless you’d like your dog to end up dead.

I wish I could give zero stars. My dog was man handled by the vet techs and after I asked them to let go of her they told me “that’s the proper way to hold her.” Apparently that means the proper way to hold a dog is to choke her with all their arm strength to make her cry, and squeeze her legs while twisting them after her cries turn to screams. My dog wanted nothing to do with any of them and someone else had to come in for a new face. Absolutely do not recommend.

My family member, (Yorke), Harley, of thirteen years, had a mouth infection and would not eat, he hardly could stand and had no energy, the staff and Doctor explained he had very little time, I wanted Harley to be comfortable in his own home, the Dr. and staff did not push me to put him down, which I appreciated, they gave him a few shots and politely and caringly gave him to me, Harley did not last an hour before he passed on his own terms. I'm writing this review to say Thank you to the Dr. and staff for their caring concern for Harley and my own feelings. They never pushed any unnecessary treatment or tests, it was a loving and professional experience. I'm grateful to the Dr. and staff. Thank you for the card I received yesterday, very thoughtful.. Harley would have loved the kind words..

If you don't mind judgemental vets who chastise you if your animal is not eating Science Diet or kidney food or some other outrageously expensive food, then by all means use this place. Was a client for many, many years with both cats and a dog. Never a nice word. Always a criticism, even though my animals were not only happy and healthy, but my two cats lived into their 20s despite being told time and time again that they both had severe kidney disease. Their only symptoms? The vets said their kidneys felt small. Not kidding. Oh, and they ate Fancy Feast for all those years and each of them was sick only on their last day.

The wonderful and caring doctors and staff of South Putnam Animal Hospital have been working with me and my pets over 25 years. At one point I moved to Connecticut and continued to travel back for all of my appointments driving over an hour each way. That is how fabulous this team is. I cannot imagine leaving my pets care to anyone else. I have seen people come and go over the years but each and every one has been caring and attentive. I cannot speak highly enough about this team of pet caregivers. I highly recommend South Putman Annimal Hospital and would never dream of going anywhere else!
