Called Rite Aid Pharmacy at 3050 Union Rd to see if my prescription was filled. Woman who answered the phone was less than pleasant. Stated they were waiting for authorization and to call the insurance and hung up. I called my insurance who stated authorization was provided 9/21 and good for a year and that the pharmacy never even tried to run the script. The rep from my insurance was able to run a successful test claim. The insurance rep tried contacting the pharmacy and spent over 40 minutes trying to get ahold of someone. I then tried for over 30 mins. I finally called the store and the gentleman stated the pharmacy is backed up due to covid, flu, and shingle shots and to give them another hour for them to call me back. This pharmacy seems to be extremely poorly managed seeing they are not running claims, filling scripts or even answering the phones. After almost 20 years filling here we will be switching to a different company. Update…the Pharmacist called back to see how he could help. I explained everything to him and the fact that my insurance never has a claim attempted. He finally stated the claim went through for yesterday’s date. I asked what the issue was the other day and he said again that it went through. Clearly my prescription was never even attempted when it was called in. The pharmacist knows this and was very careful to choose his words. This is a medication that is needed for degenerative joint disease that they held up for incompetence which has now thrown me into a flare. God help you if this happens to you and a more life threatening medication.

This location is painfully slow. Even when they're not busy, the pharmacy moves at a snail's pace to process prescriptions. Seems like they have a hard time prioritizing their workflow.

Overall good experiences with the pharmacy. Security guard walked passed three different customers not wearing a mask and didn’t say a word, or even give them a disposable mask. I’m vaccinated and don’t wear my mask in 98% of places, but a pharmacy is a different story where individuals may have greater health concerns. Security should do better...

Total experience is 4 stars because they try to do a good job, but some employees in pharmacy aren't quick enough at filling orders that are important for health concerns. They think they know exactly what the medication is for but at times are way off because meds have multiple uses for treatment. The pharmacist is very good at her job and hope everyone can learn how to be as professional and knowledgeable as her!

I’ve had good experiences thus far with this pharmacy except for today. Called to get my prescription refilled and they said they’d have it refilled on Wednesday and I told them because I was away at school I couldn’t get it until Friday and they said that was fine. Go today and they said id have to come back later cause it wasn’t ready yet. Called an hour ago to check and see if it was ready and they said I couldn’t get it until Monday bc they were out of stock🤷🏼♀️

recommend avoiding this pharmacy at all costs. Always an issue with my script every month due to the staff not knowing how to operate the pharmacy and having no problem solving skills at all or just not caring enough to provide any customer at all. Walgreens is right next door definitely a better option.

Gave me the wrong prescription, then gave me attitude when I called to have the situation fixed, I was told they would not let me return the pills because I had already left the store?! I called my provider to stop payment to the pharmacy - our provider will reimburse us directly because I had to have another pharmacy re-fill the prescription properly. All I can do at this point is be grateful we caught their mistake and dispose of 3 months worth of an unused, unopened, incorrect prescription. If you use this store, be sure to open the bag and check for accuracy before you walk away from the pharmacy counter.

The pharmacy has gone down hill. Yesterday I went in to pick up two different medications. This lady almost cashed me out for two of the same medication(different dosages) until I mentioned what they should be when cashing out. Then waited 10 minutes for them to “find” the missing medication. Today I tried to use my Medicaid card for the first time, so I said to the man that I’m unsure of how using it works. I was told I could just give it to my pharmacist when picking up scripts. The first thing out of this mans mouth when he took it was “what am I supposed to do with this?” And then acted as if it would be some huge process to rebill everything. Just so unhelpful. He’s either unbelievably awful at communicating or really tries hard to be as condescending as possible because he knew exactly what to do. There is a lot more I could say about the interactions I had with this man but this review would be so long so I will just email someone from customer service I guess. They have also screwed up my parents prescriptions several times in the last year or so. Definitely recommend going to different pharmacy if you have the option to.
