EXTREMELY unprofessional. I am a first time dog owner who knows nothing about “hot spots” dogs can get. I picked up my 6 month baby puppy there last week and she had 2 big scabs around her collar. Which were likely due to her filthy collar (which got filthy here at Barks on the Blvd) I mean to the point you can’t even see the bright blue it was! Being frantic, I posted to social media pictures and concern as the place was closed. A staff member saw my post, commented without informing she was a staff member who cared for my dog telling me about hotspots. So being informative was fine and actually appreciated But instead of taking that opportunity to be professional with her customer she went behind my back bad mouthing me to another friend that wrote on the status, requesting that he don’t tell me she works for Barks. Weird!!!! What was she trying to hide? She called me a liar and said I was “probably lying so much because my dog couldn’t stay one more night” when I was obviously writing because I was upset and confused!!! These “hotspots” if thats even what they were are huge and ugly, almost resembled a bite in my eyes but I guess more people thought it looked like a burn. Vet said which I have in writting that it was probably from “horseplay with another dog” And the daycare was closed for the night. So instead of calling barks as planned the next morning to inquire about what happened, I woke up to this nonsense from a staff member!!!! So maybe nothing did happen there but unfortunately they have an extremely immature, SNEAKY and unprofessional individual who is a main care taker of the dogs mind you representing them. Is that the kind of people you want watching your beloved fur babies?!Can’t really trust to get truthful answers when that is the kind of people you have running it. I was also called a horrible customer. Lol. Which is comical. Such a bad customer, I haven’t even asked for my money back after this horrid traumatic experience.

Kind and caring. Our dog loves going to play with the other kids ( dogs). He is exhausted when he gets home.

Friendly staff, flexible, affordable and Dio loves to go hang out with his friends and he can get his grooming done while he's there. Highly recommended.

I have seen such a positive change in my pup since starting. This was the best decision I have made in reguards to dog sitting. The staff is forthcoming, direct, and honest. I think this is important when leaving my pup in someone care. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love that grooming services are in house- so convenient. Most importantly my dog (1 year old English bulldog) absolutely LOVES going. She tried to jump out the car window to get inside quicker on our third visit. Lol! She comes back tired and happy. She has learned how to interact with all dog sizes. Keeping her socialized with both people and other animals is very important to me. Going here has even helped stop resource aggression (food and water) with my girl

First I was grateful that they were able to take my dog the same day, when all the other centers had a 4 week wait. Second, my young rescue dog seemed to actually get some training, like, his demeanor and manners improved after spending 8 hours there. I'm not sure if that was from the owners monitoring him, or him watching the other dogs. Third, the owners were very personable - they made a nametag to personalize a cubby hole for the dog, and took some time to chat with me before and after dropping him off. If I lived in Syracuse I would take my dog there just for the education and to burn off steam. Thank you :)

5 stars all around!!! I am very paranoid/anxious about where/who I leave my dog with. Nova is very high energy and almost overly friendly. During the meet and greet, they assured me she would be fine at daycare. (Sometimes she is friendly to the point of pushy with other dogs) I have done the daycare option multiple times and my dog always comes back EXHAUSTED. That's A LOT for her since she has endless energy. I have also boarded a couple days when I went on a trip and I called to check in on her. They were happy to give me an update and answer all my questions. They are VERY patient and respectful which I really appreciate. Even when you can tell they are exhausted (as running a daycare can be tiresome), they still give it their all. If you are considering daycare, I would 100% recommend the package deal! I really love Deb, Jim, Melissa, and they have another helper I forget the name of. They truly enjoy what they do and I can't wait to bring my dog back! Jim creates all of the toys for the dogs in his workshop and it was really cool to see.

We have been bringing our puppy here for the last few months and honestly couldn’t be happier. The way the staff treats and love him. He gets so excited whenever we get close to the building. The staff respect the dogs, care for them, and love them like they are their own! I wouldn’t bring my dog anywhere else. So happy we found you all!

Very kind and caring for the dogs and their humans. They do a great job with bathing, cutting, and the dogs seem to enjoy it. Even tho I travel 70 miles round trip, I will continue to take Cody up there as he seems to enjoy the services they provide. Also, the price is right.

If you are looking for a doggie day care this truly is the best place in East Syracuse. Clean, staff is great with your pets. Lots of room in & outdoors to run around & play. No other place offers what this place does for your baby in East Syracuse area like blue collar doggie day care.
