i asked for ocean waves and they just did normal curls you can get from a curling iron and later it puffed up and didn’t stay in shape. i also got my makeup done and i didn’t like it. my eyebrows, eyeliner were thick and they put way too much blush on me. i personally didn’t like it. when i got home i wiped it all of and did my makeup myself. but just because i didn’t like it doesn’t mean you won’t like it too. this was just my experience.

The overall atmosphere was incredible. You’ll feel right at home! The amount of attentiveness and guidance is unmatched to any other salon. Irene cut my daughter’s hair and was the most patient and welcoming energy. My daughter was so comfortable and thrilled with her new haircut. As for me, well Penny completely transformed my hair and brought it back to life. I have never been so confident in a stylist’s skills and will forever go back to her. She helped me feel like myself again after years! Would recommend for any and all hair types to try this salon. Service: Haircut

Very disappointed. I had an appt for B3 treatment and haircut. I came on time and the lady washed my hair and applied the tx right away but OUCH. She was so rough and aggressive. She rushed through the treatment, and then just left me at the hair wash station. The total treatment time took 45 mins. I waited over 30 mins for my haircut. I said haircut only and she continued to style. She also rushed as well. But then interrupted my time on the chair to style someone else. Edit: I understand the treatment. I did not appreciate waiting between the treatment and haircut. And there a difference between massaging and pulling my hair. The waves were not complimentary. I paid for that. I believe the stylist would have been good if she did not feel rushed herself. Service: Haircut

I actually look forward to getting my hair cut with Penny. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are visiting good friends. Awesome cut every time and when I leave I usually make my next appointment to return. Great work and wonderful staff. So happy knowing my hair will be perfect every time!

Penny is my hairdresser and never fails to amaze me. Not only are my haircuts flawless but her upbeat personality, honesty and expertise make my monthly visits a pleasure. The salon is beautiful, immaculate, and the staff is perfection. Pricing is great and they run specials throughout the year. Wherever I go, everyone comments on my haircuts and it’s been that way for over twenty five years. Life can be very disappointing at times but my experiences at Zen never disappoint. Thank you Penny! Another superb haircut yesterday!

I LOVE Bretton!! He is a genius with color and his cuts are always amazing!! I always look forward to my appointments because I know that I'm going to leave with amazing looking hair! The salon is clean and the rest of the staff is friendly. I wish I could give more than 4 stars because Bretton deserves 10!!

Have been a client over 10 years. Never had a bad hair style. Always pleasant with the clients- professional, attentive, responsive to their wishes and special events. All hairstylists great. Yet Irene is the one I book with all the time. Although when unavailable I can and have had my hair done by another hairstylist.

I've been going to this salon for 3 years now, and my hair has never been healthier. Irene is an extremely talented, knowledgable, and experienced stylist and colorist. I had previously been at another salon for 10 years, and my old hairdresser was just stuck in a rut constantly cutting my hair in a way I did not like (and incorrectly layering it I might add), plus after the amount of blonde bleaching and color damage I had, I needed a change. On someone's recommendation I went to Irene and I've never looked back. She saved my hair and restored it to it's natural luster and thickness, and we even had some fun with short hair cuts and non-damaging color along the way. I had never had my hair razored before, and Irene definitely knows what she's doing with one and texturizing sheers! She helped me embrace some change and have fun with my hair rather than constantly sticking to the same long layered blonde I was for years. I've never trusted a hair dresser so much, and am so glad I gained a friend from coming here too. Everyone else at the salon is very sweet and welcoming, and it's always a nice experience. It's worth the drive from my house, and I even got my mom going now, and a friend who's hair Irene rescued as well. Definitely recommend this salon, and Irene :) Don't listen to the bad reviews; clearly people don't know talent or what a good CORRECT haircut is.
