We were there to sell some of our parents' old vinyl albums. The staff were very kind and explained the process to us, even on a busy Saturday. The selection of used books is enormous and I could've spent days (and lots of money), plus they have lots of comic books, albums, CDs, and POP figures, among other items. It's a fun store with reasonable prices and helpful employees.

Do not go here if your "just killing a little time," lol! This is place is great and big and has so much stuff to browse its no good for anyone on a schedule. We were late to dinner after stopping by for what we intended to be a quick trip. I really love this spot. It has cards, games, movies and books. I want impressed with the record collection but everything else was good.

Been a proud customer for at least a decade and counting. I love the steady influx of books that come in daily as well as the selection of music that brings back childhood memories (70s') Also, the staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions that you have. Speaking for myself it's a readers' paradise and anyone who just wants to enjoy the simplicity simplicity that life gladly offers.

In true McKay's fashion this store presents a wide variety of books, music, comics, and toys. They accept trade-ins of all manner of media as well as electronics and musical instruments for store credit or cash. This particular McKay's is not as large as some others I've been to, but there's more than enough to go around. Very much recommended. (Some interesting graffiti around the store I included.)

Great spot to find a book. I've seen this store grow over the years. I really wish they'd have a catalog system to indicate what books they carry. When looking for a book you're given a general idea of the whereabouts, but no guarantee. . Found a great read today that i definitely need in this beastly job market!! Go check em out!

I love independent bookstores The place is huge and these books span all genres. You'll find more selection in genres that usually occupy smaller space in B&N. Westerns, thrillers, and contemporary to be specific. I like the romance section for the amount of quick reads and some authors I'm sure are out of print. My cousins and I spent a lot of time in the middle grade section. They typically have complete or near complete series so I recommend them as a way to get that complete set without breaking the bank. They also sell a selection of puzzles, dvds, boardgames, and electronics. The place makes you feel nostalgic.

It was a big loss when the Raleigh location shut down, so I was pleasantly surprised that there's a location in Greensboro. You'll need to set some time aside when you visit to dig through their inventory, but if you do, you'll more than likely find some treasure.

I love this store! I've been looking for vintage books from my childhood and this is the best place for it. I've found so many priced under a few dollars, many for under $1. You can't beat that! I've found newer books and comics that are under $5. Such a win!
