Had a private sailboat excursion today and it was fantastic! The Captain was friendly and we had great conversation about The Lost Colony. I highly recommend the sailboat! We will book again next year.

Bea was extremely helpful in finding the pelican Windsock I wanted. She kept me advised of her progress, and I was so happy when it was avaliable to pick up. Great customer service!

Was a very fun experience. Staff was very friendly from booking to checking us in , to actually parasailing. Had to reschedule because of weather which was a very simple process. Would highly suggest to everyone. Captain and first mate were awesome and made the experience that much more fun for me and the whole family. We will be back next year to give the kids a turn :)

There couldn't have been a better experience than the one I had at the Kitty Hawk kites located downtown in Manteo. Everyone was eager to help and give me ideas. The staff knew their inventory well and made suggestions according to my needs. They were extremely careful with packaging and protecting my larger items. I will definitely be back!

Luke was really kind and personable checking us in; he made the process intuitive and quick. We had a great time parasailing for the first time with Dane and Rusty. We saw plenty of dolphins in the sound during the trip, so that was a big plus! The experience was not fear-inducing for any in our group, and this was probably partly due to the easygoing, friendly staff. Thanks, Kitty Hawk Kites!

Rented a kayak for 2 hours and $70 and as soon as we got in water filled the bottom. He said it would drain out but it did not. Not faulting for that, but we tried to deal with it, but after 35 minutes, my wife couldn't take the wet and cold anymore and we headed back. We dropped the kayak off at the stand and life vests in the store at 42 minutes of rental and he refused to refund the second hour back to me. Very poor service. If I had used it 65 or 75 minutes I could understand but we returned it well in advance of the hour and he should have given me back the extra hour. I could have argued for more than just that back given the bad experience but was just seeking the 20$ back for the second hour and he would not budge. Stay away if you have other options for shopping or services. I would add that his behavior here does not mirror my experience with other Kitty hawk kites locations. This was my only bad experience.

Did the 2000 foot tandem tour and the guys that were there was the best. David the ground guy told me what to expect and answered all my questions. And Mike the flight instructor was awesome during the flight he pointed out several interesting facts about the area and showed me how to maneuver the glider and even let me take over and fly it around for what seemed like hours. I highly recommend doing this on your next visit to the OBX.
