The first phone call to Assurance Arms I knew I made the right choice to purchase my first pistol there! When I went in he made sure to explain why/why not each gun would be a good fit for me! Since then, I have been back 4 times to buy ammo and now purchasing my second pistol! Again, I explained what I was wanting and he made it happen!!! I can’t say enough positive about assurance arms and the amazing customer service and knowledge about guns!

Drove all the way out here to be greeted by the guy leaving two hours before closing. Told me that they're closed. I said I thought you close at 18:00? He says "I got things to do pal." Me too buddy. Like not spend money with you. I wanted to support local business for a Microtech knife, but nope. I'll just jump on BladeHQ and get it cheaper. This is why brick and mortar shops are dying. Edit- To respond to the owner below. It had much less to do with the fact that you were closing early and much more to do with the fact that you were completely unapologetic and incredibly rude about it at the time. I understand obligations. I don't understand "I got things to do pal". I'm enjoying the knife very much 🤙

Local carriers were giving me a hard time shipping a private-sale handgun to a verified FFL. Scott was so courteous and helpful offering to help me. I really enjoyed his attitude and the discussion on comparing handguns. He has a great little store in Mills River! I highly recommend you drop by to shop for firearms, knives, or even coffee.

Brought my girlfriend over when she expressed interest in getting a weapon for self defense. I'm a fairly new shooter myself and the store owner did a very good job tailoring his advice to our ability level and making suggestions to mesh well with our real lives off the shooting range. Owner really cares about people, not just customers. Highly recommend visiting him especially if you're new to guns.

My last experience with the old owner was the worst I've ever had at a gun store. So just wanted this new owner to know, thank you and keep on the great service.

New owner greeted me after a 3.5 hour drive with hot coffee. Nice BRCC coffee. Scott is a very friendly and knowledgeable dealer. He provided me with countless high resolution pictures. My purchase was completed with little effort. Give him a call and ask about his ever-changing inventory. He has a nice selection of consignment items as well as new and used inventory. You'll never know what he might have on his shelves.

Assurance Arms is a wonderful place to do business! I was recently referred to Scott, the gentleman behind the counter, at Assurance Arms by a big box store in Asheville. I was looking for a particular and somewhat rare piece and while the big box store didn't have it they knew Assurance did. My buying experience was so pleasant and professional that I have returned for all of my needs. With the internet being so convenient and Mills River being 45 minutes from my house this is a testament to the store. The store is well lit, clean, and very welcoming. Scott is knowledgeable and courteous and the prices are the best I've found anywhere, internet included. My wife also now shops with Assurance and she too is ecstatic with the customer service she receives. Assurance didn't have what she was looking for, and so Scott ordered it for her that day, it was delivered in 2 business days for a lower price then she had seen anywhere else. I would urge anyone in the Asheville area to swing by Assurance Arms the next time you need something or are even just looking as they are definitely worth your time.
