Great place in the area for some comfort food. I didn’t get to learn much about the building, but it is definitely some sort of old house the way it’s designed. The front porch and the floors are very much “antique” adding an extra charm. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and nice and the food was pretty good. Really enjoyed my dining experience.

Our group had an early reservation for dinner and we were sat promptly on time. Our appetizers (okra and the chips) came out very fast and they were fantastic. I ordered the meatloaf and the rest of our party got the fried chicken. Each were great! The food came out fast, it was hot, and perfectly prepared. We got dessert to go- the chocolate chess pie was very good, but the peach cobbler was outstanding. If you are in the area, I'd recommend coming to Over Yonder as you won't be disappointed.

The food was good but not excellent. I had their famous chicken. I thought it was southern fried chicken. Instead it was a pounded chicken breast. The venue was in a nice old home. The wait staff was not very attentive as to our needs for drink refills. This is a comfort food haven. If you are on a diet or keto plan be aware. I would consider the pricing average to high for what you get.

Our airbnb host suggested Over Yonder so we checked it out. I had the slaw & trout. EXCELLENT! My bf got the mint sweet tea & some to go he loved it so much! He ordered the fried chicken & literally ate it without speaking 😆 They have an art vending machine in the lobby. See photos. I cannot more highly recommend giving it a try!! I loved everything about Over Yonder. Especially the service! 💞💘💖

This place is a quaint little jewel . The home reminds me of my grandmothers home in South Georgia . The minor details like the ferns and hanging baskets made out of old Bundt cake pans just a added to the charm . We had lunch of the porch. The food was so good and had interesting options . Our server , Sally, was so knowledgeable about the history of the home and area as well as the tasty choices on the menu . She went above and beyond to make our experience good . I highly recommend this precious little place if you are in the area.

I always go for the Emaline salad and the pork burger does not disappoint! Today, we also tried the strawberry rhubarb cocktail and it was refreshing! The soup of the day was butternut squash with fried basil leaves which was delicious.

Tbh we almost skipped this place -- judgementally, OK -- because it's right across the street from Mast Store. We thought it might just be one of those tempting tourist traps. NOT SO. It's been years since we found a place out traveling so good that we made reservations to come back on the spot. With a Johnson & Wales-trained chef and a staff of enchanting folks running the show, do not sleep on this place. Shout out to Justin and Marissa for making both our visits this week wonderful. Cocktails are fun and refreshing, the food is amazing -- see the local mushroom stroganoff pictured -- and the vibe is chill and country fresh. Try the quiche or trout dip, too. ❤️

The location, ambiance, food and service was absolutely amazing. Our dining experience was outdoors on their beautiful front porch and our Server, Nathan was very personable and accommodating. My husband and I do not eat a whole lot so, we shared the Ramblin’ Poppy Burger from the Lunch Menu, which was the best tasting ground venison we’ve ever had. It also came with a large portion of the Sensation Salad. Compliments to the Chef as well for the beautiful presentation. If you are in the area and wish to experience a fine dining atmosphere at affordable prices, this place will not disappoint. We look forward to coming back again during our 2 month stay while in Boone.
