They hold packages for no reason at all and mark them as “customer has requested the shipment to be held.” Don’t bother to try calling they will never answer the phone. When I do drive across town to retrieve my package, I’m met with an attitude if I ask any questions about why my package was held. Good luck if you ever have to deal with this post office.

Very frustrated with the delivery here. We moved here the end of February and have never experienced such poor delivery practices! I had a box crammed into my mailbox that was nearly impossible to remove. The box actually had to be crushed to fit in the box. I had a box rubber banded to the open door of the mailbox. Today I got a notice that an attempt had been made at 8:30 am after the tracking shows the package being accepted at the post office at 8:24 am! The post office is across town and takes at least 15 minutes to drive to so I know this was not accurate information. Another package was marked as out for delivery but when the mail arrived that package was not left. Inside the mailbox was a note saying the box was full or the receptacle too small. The truth is the carrier is LAZY and it was raining so she did not want to get out of her car. Too LAZY to do the job for which she is paid! I have my two small grandchildren with me and there is a reason I order online for DELIVERY! When I came to write this review I am reading that this is a common problem all around the city! Reviews are written and should be used to find out where you can improve service! Shame on you Sylva Postal Delivery for not responding with a change when you see so many bad reviews! Mail delivery INCLUDES packages! Please do your job!

Even if you fill out redelivery requests asking them to put it on your porch (which is an option on the form). This means your packages end up in limbo for a long time until finally being deemed undeliverable so you can get a refund and try to order a different model while praying to the Lord the next company uses UPS or FedEx. I'm actually a big fan of the USPS, but this one specific post office is the unfortunate exception.

I’m sick of driving across town to collect my packages when the carrier is too lazy to leave a box at the mailbox or parcel. They didn't know how to accept a payment for a PO box in a different town. According to USPS online, any retail USPS counter should be able to credit a payment for any PO box in any city.

Our main mail lady is great, but whoever does the weekend deliveries does not actually deliver the packages but marks them as delivered. This is a problem I only encounter on Saturdays and then I have no way to get in touch with anybody about missing packages that have been marked as delivered but are nowhere to be seen. I have had so many packages go missing at this point that I am completely frustrated by it. Also marking them as delivered sends a notification to the companies that I've purchased from and makes it next to impossible for me to find a resolution for missing packages. This isn't even getting into whoever the delivery person is that likes to smash my boxes into my mailbox and damage fragile items. I wish I had other options for USPS delivery because I'm completely over missing packages and damaged items.

If there is a way to avoid using sylva usps, I would advise doing so. The drivers will make up some lame excuse about why they couldn't deliver a package and just steal it instead. I have had several packages stolen by the usps drivers. Once I had him come all the way to my house and pull in, only to immediately attempt to leave an mark it as "attempted to deliver." I intervened with him on the way out and only then did he get out and give me my packages. He was planning on not even getting out of his car to leave the package. If I wasn't in the back yard he would have stolen that package as well.

Postal carrier is extremely rude, will not leave our packages. Have made a container for her at the end of driveway and she still won't leave packages. She will not take our outgoing mail when our flag is raised. Staff is unhelpful, uncaring, biased, and rude. Have made online complaints and will continue to until problem is rectified and carrier does what she is paid to do. Worst postal service in any town I have ever lived in. Freda is absolutely terrible and takes pride in the fact that their jobs are done half correctly and laughs about it.
