Long time shopper but today I was singled out and my autistic son confronted by an employee. I am 53 and went to lowes like I do every Sunday to buy beer and pick up some groceries. And the check out the receptionist stepped between my and my son and asked for his ID I tried to explain that I'm buying the beer of which she cut me off and asked my son again for his ID. Everytime I tried to explain I would be cut off. I was finally a allowed to ask my son to show his ID. My son is autistic it is very difficult to even get him to go anywhere and this incident has just made my son regress and shut down. Seriously does a 53 year old and his son look like a group of under aged drinkers? And the manager defended his worker. I very disappointed in this location. To have shopped at lowes foods for almost 20yrs never had a negative experience till this.

Lowes always a great place to do online order and there is a roof over loading area for pickup. Also they do call you to go over order. Also the bathroom looked great when I used it last week and the beer den is a great place for my husband to hang out so he does not annoy me if I shop in store. Lol!!!

I enjoy Lowe’s foods and majority of the associates have been very sweet. However there is one lady with longer gray hair that stands at self check out and is very overbearing. She stood probably a foot behind me and watched me then proceeded to ask if I had scanned all of my waters when I was about to pay. I said yes and she instantly didn’t believe me. She stopped me so she could pull up a screen with all of my scanned items and sure enough they were all there.. she didn’t say anything other than she threw her hands up and walked away. It was very uncomfortable and she never said goodbye, just stared while I was leaving.

Literally the nastiest femme bathroom I have ever seen. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in, at the least, months. Checked the cleaning log on the door, marked for the first week of FEBRUARY, absolutely empty of any markings. It’s JULY, y’all. Any other Lowe’s foods I’ve been to has been really well kept, so this was a very unpleasant surprise. Was planning on buying some food, but walked right back out the front door.

Nice grocery store. Great selection of wine and beer. There even have a place to enjoy a cold beer while you shop. Excellent deli with fresh meat and seafood. They also have a sandwich, sushi, and pizza shop. I like their selection of all the local and state micro brews "beers" probably 25 different ones... I even saw several from Newport NC ..

This store is clean and the staff is helpful. Lowe's tends to be a little more high priced than some of the other stores, but their quality, particularly their meats tend to be better. One thing I ding them for is their milk... idk if it's their coolers or what, but the milk I get from here doesn't last as long as from other places.

Poor communication between employees at this location. If you can, try to shop at any other lowe’s foods in the area. Called to talk to a manager and waited on the phone for over 30 minutes before hanging up when I realized they were not going to answer. Went to the store instead and still couldn’t get any assistance. Poor quality service all around. Tom was also rude. Made it seem like I was wasting his time by just being there even though I was only purchasing two items. A simple “hey, how’s your night?” “Did you find what you were looking for?” And then “Have a good night, sir!” Goes a long way. Dude didn’t say a word.

From the fresh produce, baked goods and well-stocked deli to the bounty of carefully selected wines, house crafted sausages and moderately priced florals; Lowes Foods is an inviting market. Years ago, I had the opportunity to do business with the parent company and was blessed to have known an incredible and intractable part of the company, (Mr. A George). Over some interesting discussions, Mr. George explained that the company had sent certain management and buyers were sent to Europe during the infancy of the company. They were tasked with finding unique products and studying the various nuances of the best European markets. I still feel a bit of that original plan for Lowes Foods; with one very glaring difference. I watch extremely loyal, hard-working employees really do amazing work and under terrible conditions. 1. The overall cost for the consumer to experience the emulation of a well-stocked European Market (without leaving their neighborhood), shop at Lowes Foods higher than all other grocery stores in the Wilmington NC area; except for Whole Foods and the Fresh Market. 2. Both those grocery stores pay associates nearly five dollars more per hour (as a new hire); than Lowes Foods is currently paying for the amazing employees they have. 3. There is a labor shortage, a gas crisis, and the highest inflation rate in nearly five decades. Food costs are 48% more expensive than last year. 4. When does Lowes Foods plan on paying a living wage to the people who have actually worked and built this company? Folks, it is WAY past time. So I would love to give you a full five stars. But I could not review a business solely on the goods or services it provides. No, I have to do what little bit I can when I see an injustice. But I am an optimistic human being. I am always looking for an average business to become an absolutely, extraordinary one. I’ll be waiting to cheer for you and hope you get those five stars soon!!

Love the store, shop often. Get western unions fairly frequently. Today getting a Western union, I was asked what was the REASON I was receiving money for. ???? The guy was very nice about it, but I was completely taken aback by the invasion. Western union does not even ask that question. Lowes foods should definitely definitely look at changing that policy. ASAP

I grabbed the package of Acme salmon shown in this photo and clearly named on the tag below, showing a price of $4.99. There is NO $15.99 or $14.99 tag anywhere near the salmon packages. Upon ringing it up it rang up at $15.99 with a $1 deduction for rewards members. I let the cashier know that is not what was indicated. She asked a man (Tom or Tim) to go check. I asked him, if it is in fact $14.99, to please grab me the 7.99 or 8.99 package. He comes back and says "it is $14.99" but did not bring up an alternative as I had requested. I walk back over and see that the tag 100%, very clearly, says $4.99. I grab a different brand and take a photo and show the original cashier that the one I initially had was in fact marked $4.99. She grabs the one in my hand and scans it and says "$8.99." I confirm it is because it is a different one and reiterate the original one I wanted that they said was $14.99 did NOT reflect that price. She says "oh, ok." And walks away.
