Went there to spend at least a hundred dollars. Needed to replace the strainer basket in our kitchen sink. I asked for a spanner wrench to remove the strainers. The heavy guy (about 60) tried to sell me a tiny little wrench that would not have even come close to fitting. When I told him it would not work he walked away. On way past the cashier she asked if he had helped us. He replied to her yes but they were to stupid to realize it.. went to Ace just down the street and gave the owner the same request. With in a few minutes we had the correct wrench and have now finished our project. Have a hard time believing big boy is still employed at Washington.

Love having the napa and hardware stores together. I can get everything I need for car repairs! They are somewhat limited on hardware but it's also 1/10th the size of lowes great for picking up a few things right down the road.

They are well stocked.. went in to buy a 50 cent odd ball bolt for one of my machines. I thought I would have to order it from the manufacturer. The lady that helped me spent several minutes looking until she found it . If they are willing to help for a 50 cent sale I won't hesitate for a large ticket purchase..

I looked all over Columbus to buy Pratt and Lambert exterior paint. I found P&L interior paint, but no one had the exterior Accolade with primer. This is the best paint, lasting up to 15 years when I used it last and so easy to apply with only one coat.. Clean up with hot soapy water. I finally found it at Washington's Do it Best Hardware in Plaincity. Along with service that no one can match from the big box stores. And, with multitudes of Hardware, and a bonus, someone to tell you where it is in the store! It is much bigger than one would think wit a vast inventory of what you might need to fix most anything on one side, and an,,,,,,,,,,,, Added bonus, a NAPA store is on the other side with lots and lots of car parts as well.

With the way the new owner of ACE in Plain City treats his employees, customers and even Perry I encourage everybody to boycott ACE and shop in your store and put ACE out of business. I know I will.

I’m always in and out in less than 5 minutes. The gentleman that’s usually working up front asks what I’m looking for as soon as I walk in (I must look lost ;) ) and he directs me to exactly what I need and get checked out. Although I was eying their flower pots last time I was there too - great selection!

I was initially happy to see a hardware/auto store come into town when the business first opened. However, I do not believe I'll be coming back. As mentioned by another reviewer, the employees at this location do not follow state ordinances, even though signage at the front door states to wear a mask when in the building. I'm sad to see the feedback on their review was either ignored or that the employees are ignoring management. In addition, there may be a training opportunity for the employees in the auto department. I recently took my vehicle in to have my battery looked at. The first employee was helpful and took a reading at my vehicle. Appeared to be a bad battery. Not too long after, my girlfriend's vehicle was also having issues. The second employee advised I would need to disconnect my battery before he would even take a reading. That's fine if that's the protocol, but not all employees are providing the same service. My final point is that the pricing here is higher than other hardware/auto stores. Being that it's local for me, I was willing to pay a little more. However, for the reasons listed above, I cannot justify paying a premium. I've decided 2 stars because the employees haven't been rude in my experience, but I cannot provide a higher review at this time. Thank you for your time.

Love the store, but find it as a double standard that with current state law requiring everybody to wear face masks during the COVID19 pandemic plus signage on the building telling anyone who enters the building to have a face mask on, the general Manager as well as his cashier was not wearing a face mask when I was in the store with my best friend on August 2, 2020
