This place has gone down. They never have anything in stock they open and close when ever they feel like it due to short and inadequate staff not to mention the store manager is extremely racist this might not be the best fit for her because obviously she has Idea what she’s doing lol.

I came on 5/28/2022 Saturday at 7 PM. The dollar tree does not close until 9pm. There’s a girl inside she has the door completely locked down and refuses to open the door. I took a video but you can only post a picture on here. I do have a full complete video of her standing at the cash register with the door locked at 7 PM refusing to open up the door. Me and seven other cars was waiting to get in. Corporate really should do something about this! If she didn’t want to work. She shouldn’t applied for the job. Fire her and give someone else the job.

Update from Original Post of Mid-May 2021: I visited the store in August of 2021, and was pleasantly surprised that I could immediately see a difference in appearance of the store. I could see that they were making an attempt to organize and keep things straightened. First, I noticed they changed the flooring to a laminate; which makes more sense because it is easier to clean and look cleaner than carpet. Although they had carts for stocking in the aisles, it was understandable. Also, the manager came out of the booth when a line started to form in order to take customers. So for those reasons I upgraded my rating from one star to three. I must say I see great improvement already. Post of May 2021: I just visited this store and was appalled at the condition of the store. In one aisle it looked like a bomb had gone off in it. At first I thought they had been robbed and that someone had went on a rage in the store. Another customer also commented about this and indicated it was a hazard to the customers. That customer asked the cashier about the state of the store and she directed her to the manager who was coming out of the office. The manager indicated short staffing and a change of the managers. I mentioned the state of the one aisle and she said the “toys aisle and that was due to the kids and Mother’s Day.The customer indicated you let kids in the store (thinking they were younger teens) she said no, the bad thing is these are kids with their parents. A different customer said you know you can’t say anything to these parents about their kids. I get it there are far fewer people looking for jobs today given the state of the COVID crisis and the additional incentives for being off work based on unemployment benefits being enhanced. There is nothing that can be done about those things that are out of our control. But, I would certainly thing one good hour would handle vacuuming the aisles that need it most and a little straightening up before closing would help the situation. And if there is a problem hiring staff, I am sure they could contract a cleaning company to step in to help these stores that are struggling try to get help. Most of these types of companies are independently owned, small businesses that have been struggling and would welcome the work. Try thinking outside the box with extra help is needed.
