My daughter took her dog in last Sunday and was told she had a fever and was dehydrated. My daughter told them she wasn't eating or drinking and they said she was fine and sent her home. 2 days later she was worse and still not eating or drinking. A visit to a different vet found that she had salmon poisoning which can be fatal if not caught in time. The vet in Salem charged over $700 for nothing and it was only $300 at the other vet to get results and medication. I would not recommend wasting your time or money at this place.

We took my 9 year old boy who suddenly got sick, they worked with us and got him as much care as possible for the lowest cost they could. We ended up taking him in again and they didn't charge us for a appointment fee because we wouldn't be able to afford his medicine otherwise. With our last visit there we ended up having to put my boy down because he was still suffering, heartbroken and with only 70$ in our pocket 2 of the wonderful nurses mourned with us and ended up paying our whole bill including cremation and return of ashes. These people are saints if you need help go here. They are wonderful people who are truly there for the animals and not the money.

They have taken care of our pets a few times. They care more about the animals than they do money and that means a lot. It is spendy but that's because they are an emergency vet. When our cat got sick they handled his end of life with a lot of love. And when our dog got hurt they were quick and efficient. They made sure we knew what to do and communicated perfectly. Highly recommend honestly

i brought my cat in for urinary problems, he was in pain and uncomfortable. they brought him in and immediately let us know what was happening they were kind and compassionate, made everything easy to understand. the vet, i believe her name was amanda, so incredibly kind. while we were sitting there, they got SO BUSY definitely cases more urgent than our kitty, just watching from our car everyone did amazing juggling everyone and their pets. (seeing everything from the outside it really seemed like they worked as a great team) while still getting us and our kitty out of there in a timely fashion with a game plan and meds. i felt confident in my cats care. thank you to these guys

My partner and I brought our 11 week old puppy into the clinic with signs of kennel cough. The staff took amazing care of our dog and answered all of our questions thoroughly. They approached every new case with confidence and diligence. We arrived knowing that this clinic was not first come first serve, but based on the seriousness and condition of each pet. We came prepared to wait! Highly recommend bringing a phone charger and games. There were lots of food options nearby to enjoy while we waited. The staff did a wonderful job of keeping us updated with wait times as well :)

My dog received Salmon Poisoning and we thought we were going to lose her. The vet, vet students and other staff were incredible. They came up with an outpatient plan, when I wasn’t able to afford inpatient care. Due to the severity of my dogs illness, we had to come back for iv treatments every 12 hours for 3 days. During one of the visits, my pup was too weak to go into the building, so they set up her iv in my car, and proceeded to came out to check on her every 10 minutes. When our pup started to get better, the vet and I cried happy tears together.

I took my 15 year old cat here. She had two seizures within an hour. This emergency clinic was very quick getting her in. The employees over the phone, the vet techs, and the veterinarian were all very informative and kind. The staff was very good at communicating with us about the nature of our kitty's situation. I felt very comfortable leaving my kitty in the care of this clinic.

I was on the fence whether or not my puppy's eye would need treatment after being scratched by my cat. After calling the clinic, I was informed that it could be very serious if her cornea was injured. After bringing her in, I am very glad that I brought her to the clinic rather than waiting. It turns out the issue was more severe than I expected, and I'm glad that I was able to start her on a protocol immediately. The staff was courteous, and they deal with much more severe cases than this on a regular basis.

Every one I interacted with showed amazing compassion for my cat during our time of need. Very knowledgeable and personable. Perfect for what I needed tonight and honestly was cheaper than I thought too for being an emergency. Thank you so much entire staff of salem veterinary emergency clinic

Staff needs training on compassion for people that can’t afford there outrageous fees. We took our Dog there and couldn’t find anything wrong. After taking her back to our vet they recommended OSU animal hospital. We found out she had pancreatitis a very painful condition. You want reliable ER service go there. Sorry about your experience. We paid them $$$$$ bucks in Salem for nothing.
