We make sure to come here every year after working at the Gettysburg wine festival. The staff is great and the food is so so good. It's true comfort food.

The food was wonderful with a great selection of German beer. I don't know anything about smell everything looked wonderful Yes it's an old building that's been around a long time. 55 years ago I proposed my wife there. I would recommend it to anybody.

You would have to get on a boat and sail to Europe to find authentic German food that is this good! I had the bratwurst on a roll with spicy mustard and homemade sauerkraut.. Simply amazing!! As I do at most restaurants, I had the Coleslaw. Again, it was homemade and delicious!!! I took some home because I believe coleslaw is the perfect midnight snack! My wife had the Rueben and loved it!! Said it was TOO MUCH TO EAT!! Yes, the portions were filling, and she got to enjoy some of that saurkraut as well!! The decor reminded me of the display my mother had in her shrunk in Frankfurt! Mary was our waitress and she could not have been friendlier or more helpful!! Great service!! We will definitely return. I have to try the dumplings and ROULADEN!!

This place was great, the decor is authentic and the waitress was wonderful. They had all our favorites and it was cooked perfectly. We will definitely go back, but with more people

We come here mainly for the bar and the atmosphere. I've reduced my rating because now for some odd reason the bar is cash only while the restaurant half is both cash/credit. The food is good, the menu is too big for the restaurant, they should reduce the menu and focus on the German and bar food portion. Do not order seafood as I've ordered on two occasions and both have been disappointing.

Terrific German food and drinks. Service was efficient and attentive, and the food was served quickly. The bratwurst was tasty and very much recommended!

So sorry to say this was the worst German food I've had. The cheese served with the crackers as a starter was good flavor, but super crumbly. The roll was good, but tough cause it was nuked, the goulash "soup" was OK but very thick and over spiced. The Spatzle (normally my favorite dish) was horrible! Little tiny popcorn bits - no flavor at all and very watery and mushy! Not browned in butter, not served with gravy, barely even looked like Spatzle. I tried putting the goulash soup on it for flavor and still couldn't eat it. :( The cabbage rolls - I couldn't even tell you what was in them - it was some hard formed rectangle of what might of been rice and some kind of protein - just awful. Ate only the cabbage, which really wasn't that good either as it seemed just a can of heated stewed tomato's was tossed on it. Sooo disappointed, I wish I'd of had a beer!

Did I say you want authentic German food this place is for you , Don’t let the out side full you ! It’s very cozy and the girls dress up just like in Germany ! Wow only what I can say this place knows the German food ! My family loved the food when we are in town we are down for this place !
