I have a Chevy Tahoe and my Hybrid battery needed to be replaced. I called Sam’s Auto because the Manager at a local auto parts store said he is the BEST mechanic in the area and works on hybrid vehicles. Sam and his ENTIRE STAFF are true professionals and know exactly what needs to be done on your vehicle. Customer service and expert mechanics are important to me, especially when it is a major repair and Sam’s Auto is second to none on both points. Not only do they have the BEST service in Lancaster county, they actually understand and care about the customer. The team SAVED me THOUSANDS of dollars. Sam’s Auto has a customer for life and really deserves a 10 STAR RATING!

My family has been going to Sam for years, and they have always been thorough, fast, and very helpful. We called yesterday and he managed to squeeze us in today for 2 inspections and to mount tires on one vehicle. I would recommend him to ANYONE!!

Went to Sam's Auto to get a hitch installed. I showed up 30 mins early (i live an hour away). I told them I could come back at the appointment time but they took me in right away and installed the hitch even though the shop was extremely busy. He also diagnosed a odd sound I was hearing with the brakes. Sam actually took the car on a test drive with me in the passenger seat and verified the sound when the brakes were applied. He gave me his advice and didn't try to push a repair job that I didn't need at this time. The staff/mechanics were very friendly and helpful. It was well worth the hour drive to do business here. I will definitely come back if I have any repairs on my 2008 Prius. *update 3 years later* Exhaust leak. They located the leak and instead of suggesting a full exhaust replacement which included a new muffler like the other shops suggested, he said he can fix it by replacing the old and rusted out pipe with a new one and leaving the existing muffler in place. Braking issue. Seemed that brakes weren't calibrating during startup and regen braking was not working. Only manual brakes worked. Other shops immediately wanted to replace the expensive ABS module. From his experience, he suggested we replace the 12V battery first since a weak 12V can cause this kind of problem. New 12V installed and it fixed the braking issue and everything on the car is now working properly. He noted after a test drive that the rear brakes needed adjustments. He took care of that without charging me. Very much appreciated. He stated that rear brakes may need adjustments every year so two. I did not know that so I learned something new. During the visit, he and his staff explained everything in detail and in terms that I could understand. He gave me his honest opinion and did not try and push for more than what needed to be done. I still stand by my original review of Sam's Auto in Akron, PA.

Appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. Allowed us to take our time to think through options carefully. Sales team and mechanics were friendly and helpful. We compared a number of cars at Sam’s along with a variety of other dealers. Sam’s pricing is fair, and it seems they care about treating customers well.

Had a great car buying experience at Sam's Auto. We arrived shortly after opening. I had already done my research on the car and was able to take it for a test drive within 10 minutes, no one tagging along or pressuring me on the sale. I liked the vehicle, the paperwork was started and Sam recommended Members 1st for financing. The loan process was simple and pain free. I was happy with the loan terms and had a check well before Sam's closed for the day, everything was in order, off to the notary and I was able to take the car home the same day. Really happy with the fair pricing. The staff was professional and efficient; Sam runs his shop and auto dealership well. If you are in the market for a replacement vehicle and really dread the back and forth negotiations and fluff just go to Sam's Auto and skip all that hassle. Thanks Sam!
