Large selection helpful employees, nice place to find comics, cards and, figurines. Play area is a little small and but manageable.

Good store. Lots of great comics and Magic cards. They didn't have exactly what I was looking for but there are so many shops in the area that it is just good to get out and walk around them all.

A nice little quiet and clean place, also the workers are very helpful and friendly. You ask any questions and they will give you any information that you're looking for. Also it's a very affordable place as well too.

I've made many purchases here over the years. Most of my experiences have been fantastic. The last visit stands out strongly in my mind. Eric, a staff member, helped me find a last minute gift for a close friend. He treated me with respect and courtesy while quickly resolving the trouble I was having. The only negative is that the back room can get kinda funky when tournaments are going on. Nerds can sweat pretty hard when prizes are on the line.

Great store that has Magic the Gathering, comics, new board games and so much more. Plus they host trading card game tournaments. Plenty of parking behind the store as well, that may be preferable to parking right next to the main street in front of the store.

Epic store, go here! They have a great set-up using their space well, with lots of vertical racks for key comic issues, a funko pop wall, and a large selection of comic-related busts, figurines and other collectibles. The crown jewel for me was the 6-odd shortboxes of their bargain area ($1.00 comics), let’s call it a medium-sized but respectable collection of assorted goodies. I was looking for 80s-94 Marvel and found a dozen items, so that was great. There section of trade paperbacks is well-curated and somewhat well-stocked. Overall it was a very inviting store with polite and helpful staff, don’t judge a store by their facade/building/part of town, because Encounter is absolutely worth your time and money for a visit :) I will be back, for sure.

Excellent selection of modern comics, back issues, modern collectible games, and all sorts of collectibles from the last 30 years or so. A really unique little shop nestled in the heart of Allentown. The only reason I took a star off is because there were a lot of dusty or dirty things sitting on the shelves. Overall though and great gem for comics & collectible seekers! I'll be back when I'm in the area.
