Small bank that doesn’t match what large banks offer besides some free online banking accounts. I wasn’t able to access my bank account online for a year when deployed overseas because they didn’t have any option to log on besides receiving a text code. You are not able to raise your spending limit above $3,000 very easily. I called about raising my spending limit to purchase a vehicle and was not able to do so on a Sunday and I received an unwarranted lecture about how to spend my own money. I did NOT call for advice and was not expecting to be asked “Are you sure you want this car?” The women at this bank are great to receive help from, so that’s the reason my rating isn’t lower.

Not my experience but a family member's. This family member was given the incorrect banking information (account #) and when she tried to make a large deposit she was accosted and told the information was incorrect. She was shocked, considering she had used this information for years and no one informed her that she was using the wrong information. When she spoke to the manager and wanted to know why she wasn't given the correct information and why suddenly this was an issue when she had been regularly depositing and withdrawing money out of this "other" bank account, she was told her request was "unreasonable" by the bank manager. I personally do not think it's unreasonable to request an answer as to why this information was suddenly such an issue. I have also witnessed the bank manager using extremely inappropriate language during bank hours and was appalled. I try to avoid this branch like the plague.

Opened my first savings account here when I was 12. Great bank and awesome staff. Sue Matthias is the best Branch Manager of any bank around... Been a customer here for over 28 years and go out of my way to use this specific branch in Riegelsville... Carol, Mary and Cherie are so sweet, actually, everyone here is... Definitely a small town vibe still exists here...

tl dr: Flaky banking service, no drive-through ATM; ho-hum services Last week when I needed to withdraw cash their system was down. For all the wealth this "community" bank generates off our deposits, a small withdrawal within business hours should be a given. It was not and this is positively the only reason I have an account. They are local, period. None of their services stand out, as much as I wish they did (I believe in supporting local businesses). I eagerly await competition coming to Riegelsville, preferably a credit union like Riegel FCU (currently a bit too far and based in NJ, though the name seems right)! Banks like First Savings like to stay small until they don't. +1 star because the teller was polite (also sadly not to be taken for granted) and the place didn't burn down while I was inside.

What a terrible experience I’ve had with this bank with two different issues it took over two weeks for them to finally get me a new debit card after my first one was hacked into... when they told me it would only take a couple days... Also I applied for a loan and was repeatedly told because my credit was good and I had a good job that I would have no problem getting a car loan when I got all my paperwork taken care of I was told that they would keep in touch and let me know what was going on 2 weeks later I finally get a letter in the mail a denial letter I’m a young adult so not only did this waste my time but it hurt my credit as well and it will make it even harder now for me to try and get another car loan it dropped my score 30 points lol thanks for telling me I had no problem and it’ll go right through will never do business with them again currently looking into other banks and pulling my money out immediately... how they can be called penn community is a very ironic joke what a terrible bank With my first car loan it was the same amount as what I was trying to get this time and back then I made 10 bucks an hour and had no problem with a decent interest rate too One last thing I never write and reviews for anything but this was such an awful experience for me I wanted to hopefully save other young adults and their credit scores it’s hard enough for us as it is to get built up
