It's ok. Small, and there are things in every nook and cranny, including hung from the ceiling. All the space they have is certainly used well. There were a few things I would have looked to have been able to pick up and feel and look at closely that were in display cabinets but they're locked up and you need to ask the cashier - and being as that there is already very little room, it wasn't worth trying to move all the kids and my wife and myself to let the cashier get to the cabinet to let me touch one or more of the items in there. It was highly incensed and strong enough to give you a headache if you have any issues with strong smells like that. I was glad they had a magnet and chose to buy one of those and call it a day. As for the bison themselves, yes they are a very short drive down the road (not as dramatic and far as some other reviewers made it seem), and there is a small section where you can pull over and look into the pasture at them. We got to see several calves and what looked to be a herd of maybe 40 or more bison. Is it worth it? That's up to you and what you want out of the experience. You get to see them if they are around, and honestly we didn't even get out of the car, there was a clear enough view. If you go there with the right expectations, you'll be good. It's a nice pit stop kind of area, not an attraction that you drive well out of your your way for. Hopefully that clears up some things that you might be questioning. Cheers!

Friendly staff, nice shop. Got bison steaks there. Hard to find in the East.

The gift shop is lackluster at best. All items, except the bison meat, are imported from New Mexico. There did not appear to be any local items, or at least the cashier did not mention any that were from PA when asked where the items were from. The shop is poorly lit and has a really strong incense smell so if you are prone to headaches from strong smells this might be best to avoid. The cashier can offer directions to see the bison. The bison are a bit down the road from the gift shop off to a road on the right (Left out of the gift shop, right on the first road, then a bit farther down the road). There is a very small location to pull over and get out of your car to see the bison. We did get to see babies. Cute experience and fun to say you've been to but other than that its very underwhelming.

No public restrooms. Very small gift store. Plan to spend maybe 10-15 minutes here, add another 10 minutes if you plan on doing the gift shop. Directions to get to the back pasture to see the bison were more confusing than needed to be. It would be nice if they had signs directing you to the pasture from the gift shop. Once at the pasture, there is just a little bit of dirt shoulder to pull over on. No need to really get out of the vehicle. Younger kids will enjoy seeing the bison.

Bison aren't near the gift shop, so if you want to see them you need to go to the shop and ask where they are! 😊 You can purchase bison meat at the shop, which is what we did. Got a pkg. of 6 burgers and a nice steak. They came frozen, and we live hours away, so they were totally thawed by the time we got home. Had the burgers in the first few days we were home and I'm getting ready to go fire up the grill to cook the steak right now!! 😁😁

Of course its my home area so I'll always give a great review. But great place to visit and view the bison. P.S. they have rental houses if you want to stay in the area. Close to Shawnee State Park, Blue Knob State Park, Coral Caverns and the Flight 93 Memorial.

Great Shop and service to the public. The staff is friendly. They treat the bison well and very humane. Great meat have purchased many times and will again soon ( Friday Feb 26, 2021). They even cater to special request. I was in need of some bison biproducts such as bones, hide etc. They provided that as well. The surrounding rolling grassy hills filled with Bison along both sides of State Route 30 aka the Forbes Road is a beautiful site to see.

We were driving home and happened to see a sign. So we thought we'd stop in real quick. Bought some bison burgers and ground bison can't wait to try it. Couldn't stay long but enjoyed the little we saw. If it's as good as we're hoping well be back soon

What a waste of time. We drove over 45 min to get to the place, and the woman who worked there wouldn't even let my 5 year old use the bathroom. The bison are not even located at this place there were down the road on someone else's land. Do not waste your time.
