If you don't mind things being change on your materials list (Cypress: Oops how'd did that happen?) Or if they change the price (Cypress: Oh out new price guy made a mistake). Or if they recommend things because they "look" good and are not practical (Cypress: Oh this would look good on this designer's portfolio, yeah who cares if it's not functioning like it should). Or they can't measure the height of a kitchen cabinet (Cypress: Don't worry, we'll ship it back for free and order a shorter one, who cares if construction needs to hold up because of this or the fact that you're paying the same price for a much shorter cabinet)

Craig at Cypress Design helped us recently with design plans for our office renovation. He was able to see the space in such a different way and was able to help us optimize the small space that we have to work with! Craig came out to our office when we were short on time to get to the showroom which was very helpful. All emails were answered promptly and the attention to detail with itemized invoices was superb! Highly recommend!

Craig Couture at Cypress Design did the design work for a full-scale remodel of my small kitchen in Providence RI, during the summer of 2016. The project involved stripping the old kitchen down to the studs, opening up a section of supporting wall, relocating a powder room, resizing a window, and replacing all the cabinetry and appliances. I was very satisfied with Craig’s work. I had already done a lot of thinking about the design before I got in to talk with him, but he made several beneficial tweaks and helped me locate products and vendors that were appropriate for my mid-range budget. He has good design sense (or at least he has design sense that fits well with my own tastes!), and he was extremely courteous, responsive, and easy to work with. There was one measurement error, but that’s par for the course in a job of this size – and Cypress and the contractor made it right between themselves, with no extra cost to me. The finished kitchen is *very* user-friendly and efficient for its size, and the design gets frequent compliments from my guests. Although I'm still not living in a Newport (or even Barrington) mansion, the remodel made a world of difference, and I feel as though I got excellent value for my money. This was not a fire-and-forget, no-budget, white-glove job, so if your project is at the very high end, my experience may not be relevant. But for a medium-sized, value-conscious project, Cypress Design was ideal. I will certainly call them again (and ask for Craig again), if I have a similar project in the future.
