My neighbor told me about Humphreys great prices, he said lower than Lowe’s and Home Depot. I went in and bought 8 (2x4)’s and they charged $5.55 per 8’. My neighbor said they only charged him $3.55. Very disappointed.

Yesterday I went to Humphreys looking for wood for my deck. There’s so much I didn’t know and one employee named Rich helped me out. He went above and beyond what most would do making sure the wood was securely placed in my car. He even put a little red flag in the piece extending beyond the trunk. I am very impressed with his helpfulness.

Don't bother going there for simple household hardware like curtain rods. They are too stuck up to carry anything like that. The guy I asked for help first sent me to the wrong aisle, then another guy said"We don't carry anything like that." Too bad, lost a customer who needs alot of building supplies. My house needs a complete rebuild.

A miscommunication between my nice general contractor and me led to a big, expensive problem involving the wrong style of interior doors purchased through Humphrey's Building Supply in Tiverton RI. Owner Scott Humphrey said he'd do his very best to help me in this situation but in a very considerate manner braced me for bad news: the door manufacturer almost never took back their doors, even unopened, still-in-original packaging, mint condition doors. Scott was supportive, thoughtful, and positive, getting right into solving the problem - the best customer service ever. It turns out that it was also very effective customer service as, with Scott's intervention, the manufacturer will accept their doors back. Thank you, Scott!!!
