We drive to Rhode Island every summer a 4 hour trip for the amazing beaches and came across Drift 3 years ago. Now every time we’re in Ri we have to visit Drift and get something. Rob is always welcoming and beyond helpful. I love the store and will continue coming in every year. Thank Rob for everything!

Just snagged a custom Axxe winter wetsuit from Rob @Drift. It is a game changer. I had a custom fitting with attention to every detail, included a video consultation with the manufacturer and some beers as I got measured. I just took it out for the first time, in the cold NE Atlantic and I'm never going back to another suite. It slides on like a pair of pajamas, flexes like your favorite broken in suit (minus the holes), and is warm. The only water I had inside there after a three hour session was my own sweat. Highly recommended, and totally worth the investment! Rob is the dude and he knows what it up.

My mom and I decided we wanted to try surfing together so we found Rob for a dual surf lesson. We both agreed that Rob was the perfect instructor. He was very friendly, easy to talk to, and made us feel like we could just have fun with it with no pressure at all. His teaching style was very relaxed but also highly informative which helped us learn so much in just one lesson. We’ll definitely be coming back for some more lessons from him.

I had to opportunity to get my very first surfing lesson with Rob this week and I really can't recommend him enough. I'm sure there are other good instructors in RI but I can't imagine anyone more positive, patient and knowledgeable than Rob. Not only was he able to quickly recognize where I was struggling and help me focus but he was just as invested as I was to stand up on that board... and I did! I honestly couldn't believe it. So thankful I chose Drift - such a positive experience.

I always feel comfortable and super welcome when I drop by with questions or looking for advice. A fairly new surfer, I took a big leap of faith and got a custom board. It's *exactly* what I wanted, rides beautifully, and was even able to design a custom logo for it. What an amazing experience to get to meet your shaper (and even surf with them!!), and feel like this board was really made with me in mind. It makes me that much more pumped to get out in the water. AND I'll do you one better: Not one month since getting my new board, I got run over by a thoughtless surfer and ended up with a dinged nose (heartbreak), and Rob, 100% mensch that he is, had me all fixed up in a day, and even sent me home with a pizza!! Don't hesitate! Shop local! Meet your community!!

Highly recommend stopping in to see him and purchase some of his nicely designed drift swag or a custom board to surf in Gansett. The adirondack chairs out front are also great to relax on if you want a break from the traffic :)
