1. One Week! One week from the date my Guitar was shipped to Rick @ Haywire Custom Guitars, to arrival back to my home repaired. CraZy FaSt! CraZy! 2. Neck Reshaped. He literally shaved my walnut neck that was practically unplayable to the Tele Neck it was always supposed to be on my Custom Built Telecaster. 3. Good Communicator. He is interested in helping you and what you need to be able to play your guitar and be happy playing it. Nothing more; You, Your Instrument, How can I Help? Rick is laser focused on you and your instrument at all times. 4. Good, Fast, Or Cheap. We've all heard that phrase? Rick breaks that one completely. My Repair, was fast as I've said. Cheap? Under $350. Good? Holy Smokes. He blows that out so bad it's laughable. The darned neck looks like it grow'd there and he reshaped the thing into a totally playable instrument. In Truth & at the end of the day, I think most players want quality. Quality is what you'll receive from Rick. Hands Down Quality Repair. He breaks the mold. 5. Rick advised me on shipping. He told me how to best ship the guitar, where to get packing materials & etc. That saved me a ton in cost right, up, Front! 6. Thank goodness I found you Rick after scouring the Web. I bookmarked your Website and would visit often as I dreamt of being able to send the guitar to be worked on. When the time came, I reached out and we were on our way. Rick is a true piece of Americana. Hands on. Attention to detail. Caring. Skilled. Many words can be applied, but hold your labels and recognize MY(!) Luthier as a true piece of Americana.

I have nothing but good things to say about Haywire Custom Guitars. I commissioned them for a neck re-shape and unfortunately, thanks to shipping damage, turned into a headstock repair also. Rick was excellent throughout the entire process. They repaired the guitar and shaved the neck to the specs I'd requested originally. Constant updates and fast turnaround time. They will definitely be first on my call list for any future instrument customization/repair needs. Outstanding!

I have trusted him with guitars, Custom shop Les Paul's, SG's and Paul Reed Smith's each valued at or over $5,000.00 each and would not trust anyone else with these valuable guitars. Hi - I very rarely share my personal experiences on the web - but I couldn't avoid giving Rick and Haywire Custom Guitars a shout-out. I've been playing guitar for a very, very long time, been in and out of several of local bands and searched far and wide for a competent guitar tech that understands the needs of musicians and the fact that we are all different. Rick and Haywire Custom Guitars fits the bill! I recently had Rick re-shape the neck on one of my Strats .... the result was outstanding. The neck was customized precisely to my specs, the cost was very reasonable and the turn-around was lightning fast. I have complete confidence in Rick's skills as a luthier and with my equipment.

Rick is an outstanding luthier. I highly recommend Haywire for any work on your guitars. My family worked with Rick to build a custom guitar for my birthday. The look, the sound, the feel...it is the perfect guitar. Haywire guitars have some kind of magic in them. If you are looking for a Strat or tele don't waste your money on a production guitar. Do yourself a huge favor and look at Haywire.

Amazing experience!! I am completely, overwhelmed, with how well my neck shave turned out. Rick and crew changed my, Louisville Slugger sized, Warmoth 5 String neck into a usable tool. The neck is now more, "Hand Friendly" and manageable. The back of the neck has been perfectly smoothed out and finished with a light, satin nitro finish. Oh... and I can't forget to say, I had my bass back together in one weeks time - including shipping to and from Haywire. The BatMan and I Thank You!

I bought a hand made Zebrawood telecaster model from Haywire. The guitar is stunningly beautiful and plays like a dream. The only thing I could find wrong with the guitar was the tone control was damaged during shipping but Rick sent me the money to have the guitar repaired. Rick is a very nice person and I can personally attest to his work as a luthier. PS he also took the neck on the guitar and had it trimmed to the specs of a slim taper Les Paul (witch I prefer).

I sent my guitar neck to Haywire Custom Guitars for their neck reshaping services and everything about the experience exceeded my expectations. From initial communication through their quick turnaround, interacting with Rick has been top notch. The work itself was fantastic, not only did the neck get thinner as I expected, Rick also preserved the integrity of the neck in the context of my custom guitar. I would not hesitate to recommend them and look forward to using their services again!!

I read a review about Haywire Custom Guitars here that I feel in my heart is just not true. I have over 25 guitars set up and repaired by Rick at Haywire Custom Guitars, so I can tell you he's knows what he is doing. Many of these guitars are very valuable and I want them to keep their value. So I trust Rick will treat my guitars with care and respect as I would do. I live within 10 miles of the shop, so if I want to drop in and check on the work being performed he is always glad to see me and shows me in detail exactly what he's doing. As well as he always explains what and why he is doing it on my instruments. Rick is interested in teaching me as much as he can about my guitars, which I very much appreciate. Whoever this guy Jamie is, he didn't get his work done at Haywire Custom Shop.
