The communication is terrible. My wife signed my daughter up for a trial class. During the class, I could tell that the other students had been there before and they were already aware of the routine. As this was my daughters first day SHE REQUIRED EXTRA HELP. Which is quite natural. Several times my child was told to sit down while the other child was not sitting down. Quite naturally if the other child is standing my three year old would want too as well. At the end, one of the assistant instructors said that my daughter did well. I could tell that according to the other instructor she did not. She instructed me to put my daughter in a parent/child class to learn the routine. Aren’t I paying you to teach her the routine. Maybe you guys should consider separating the beginners from the experienced students. Also, I called to speak to the instructor and was told that it would be next week before she could give me a call because she was out of the office. 20 mins later I missed a call. Called back to talk to her and was told that she is not in office and but she left a message with the front desk. Long story short since the instructor is not willing to teach my child and communicate with me, she will not be taking classes here.

My daughter started at Greenville Gymnastics in August at lev.1. She is now level 2 in her second season & has loved every single practice. The facility has a lot to offer. An upstairs viewing room. The coaches & staff are all very sweet and knowledgeable. They also have camps during winter and spring break that outsiders and friends can join for the day as well. We will definitely be signing up for another season.

I’m a Gymnast There on level4/5 I have been there for 3 years and it’s amazing also A lot of people have problems with the coaches like doing the same thing over and over again every day the only reason they’re doing that is because they want to make sure you have those skills good so when you do the next level skills you’ll be able to have it at least better than would without doing the same skills every day even if it’s basic skills like a cart wheels like the little twin girls they’ll do cartwheelevery day to

We have taken a few classes there. The sessions are hit or miss. I feel our child did not progress much since the second week of class and almost every class seemed to be the same thing, but they offered little in how we could practice at home to help our child advance. The previous class was held up by spending a lot of time on just one child leaving the other children just sitting for about half the class. A lot of that class was just watching my child be bored or trying to entertain himself. He did at least learn some different things though, but I feel most of it could have been learned without shelling out for the classes....

Both of my daughters wish they could go to gymnastics every day. The coaches, instructors, and staff are all wonderful and willing to help in every way possible.

Wow, I can't believe you had that experience. I have two daughters in the development program. They took the time to evaluate them, to make sure they were placed at the right level. My oldest was missing just a couple skills in level 3, so she was put in level 2. While it seemed some things were too easy in this level, they took the time to make sure she had all the skills done properly before they moved her. This helped her gain confidence, so when she went to level 3, the new skills in that level came much easier to her. It sounds like the staff wanted your daughter to be in the right class for her skill level. I am not sure if I would blame the gym for that. There are enough reality shows that have moms pushing their kids to levels they are not ready for, and they all seem to end in bad experiences. Unless you are a gym coach, I would think the staff knows what is best for the gymnast.

My family and I arrived in Greenville a couple of months ago. My daughter wanted to continue Gymnastics and I I thought it was a good place. In france she used to do 4 hours a week and small competitions, she is here in sixth grade. Because the coach found she was not enough interesting for competition, she put her in beginners because a couple of things were not understood in proper English and with 9-year old kids. i tried to explain her she would be more encouraged if she was in level two while working the 2 missing points of level one. She never called me back, she never took care in a personal way of my newly-talking in English daughter. She cried each time she went back from this place because nobody woul explain her in a proper way (instead at school she caught so quickly she is almost one of the best). Thank you greenville gymnastics for this lame experience.
