If I could give this less than a one star, I would. I sat for over three hours without being seen other than to take my vitals, where there was a bloody bandaid on the chair they asked me to sit in to do blood pressure and didn’t even other to remove it. After three hours I asked the nurse at the desk how much longer it would be only to be hatefully told that “her nurses were overloaded with actual sick people and she couldn’t tell me how long it would be”. As if I would be at the ER if I weren’t sick myself.

If I could give this bedside manner a lower star, I would! My husband was just in there with a broken back and neck. They were roughly moving him him around, were rude, and one nurse said, "we can't give you any pain med because you are an addict." First off, how you going to let someone be in that amount of pain because you believe addicts get addicted to everything the first time?! Secondly, anything you would've/could've for his pain is not his DOC!! I feel that better education on this are needed and your egi/pride needs to be checked at the door! Pretty sure this could be a lawsuit

I called Sanford nurse about my son whose blood pressure was high. They said get him to the ER possibly a stroke. They would let ER know. We got to the ER. Four people came in after us and already have rooms. I know that the first 60 mins is when they would find out if he did have one. It’s been past that GOOD LUCK finding out if it was now. Still waiting an hour and a half latter. Two little ones went before my possible stroke son. I understand the older people but these little ones where doing just fine. Understand the baby too. Sons left had started turning a little pink. Num really the priority at this ER isn’t first come first serve but poorhouse has the best coverage gets priority. Fix this Sanford

Ridiculous checkin process to be seen! Spoke on ONE phone to get checked in, then another 3 feet away (literally) with another nurse sitting right NEXT to the previous nurse…. ???? So much for COViD. NO ONE is sanitizing the phones we are expected to check in on, nor is anyone willing to check in a patient at an ER without this ridiculous checkin process…. Some people actually have REAL emergencies. Further, 5+ Nurses were and continue to sit/chat at the checkin desk however, we waited an extensive amount of time to be seen for a gash on my kiddos head. NUTS! I am completely disappointed with Sandford… especially since they claim to be a children's hospital. What a shame!

Some times it's a very good place.. other times it's ridiculous.. my BF has never used any other hospital.. he was suppose to check in the hospital. But it seemed like more and more people came in (white folks) and they was all taken to the back ahead of him. Don't get me wrong I ain't racist or anything. But we wasn't treated fairly.. at all. Some of the employees looked right passed us and we sat there for almost 3 hours. He never had to wait for so long.. employees have attitude wen asked a question.. as people check into the ER they should be taken towards the back how they check in and not put Infront of people that sit and wait and wait. We will continue to come to Sanford Hospital but pray we get treated the same way other people get treated. As equal. Not looked down on.. Thank you .

I’m a chronic sufferer and in the ER a lot when nothing at home works for my nausea/vomiting, probably 5-6 times a year for cyclic vomiting syndrome and Chron’s Disease, the nurses and doctors are always caring and get me feeling better. The wait time can be scary especially when you are in pain and suffering in the waiting room helpless but I understand that is out of their control and appreciate them greatly, I don’t think I would still be here if it wasn’t for them.

10 plus on my ER visit to Sandford Hospital. I was in a room quickly, team all worked well together. Radiology team was excellent also. I had 10 plus back pain and they really cared to get my pain controlled. The call lights were answered ASAP and they pulled the ambulance personnel in when the regular staff couldn’t assist in a timely matter. I had timely updates and they explained everything that was going to happen. I usually am frustrated when I leave from emergency visits but not this time. Maybe it was because I was I such pain but it should be like this with every patient that comes in. Thanks to everyone who helped me get my pain uncontrolled. . Excellent team work!

Had a great experience with this ER today. My 4 year old had busted his head open. We arrived at the hospital at about 8am. They got him in a room immediately. Everything progressed quickly and we were leaving by 10am. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and helpful. Treated both of my 4 year olds compassionately and absolutely spoiled the injured one. They certainly made things stress free (as much as they could) and kept a sweet cheerful atmosphere!! Thank you guys for stellar care!!
