We are closing our checking account with Central Bank today. When we opened this account about 8 years ago, it did not require a $500 minimum. In December, we were charged a $6.00 fee. I called to ask what it was and where did it come from. She said our balance went under $500 and said they started requiring a $500 minimum last March. We went about $3.00 under $500 for part of a day in February before we made a deposit. and were charged $6.00 again. We knew nothing about this change and had never been notified by a letter in the mail or anything. We are done with this bank.

I've only had one problem with this bank in 11 years and it was corrected immediately. The staff has always been helpful to me.

Worse bank I ever put my money in. Need to watch them close charged me twice on an over draft. When I get back in town in time I'm closing my account. I had problems earlier before but thought it was me. There on line banking took too long to get on and difficult to log in.

Over promises and underachieves! Opened business account. Promised debit cards in 10 days - took 29. Promised maximum of 15 minutes on a wire transfer that we paid for - took 1hr 20 mins... Poor service.
