When I was staying I wasn't getting the help I needed. Then the supervisor who wasn't the caseworker took over my case and started helping me. The she had quit and a new caseworker took over my case didn't help me either. That caseworker was basically helping the Mexicans /Spanish people before going on to the others. The main supervisor is ride and disrespectful for no reason. She wanted everyone to leave out the building for the day even if they're sick. One morning I was throwing up and I had to stay in cuz I was throwing up and she kicked me out on a Sunday where buses don't run. She knew I had nowhere to go.

Staff is mostly respectful, they go through your things regularly and act like it's ok. Now it states that they can as shelter rules and if you have children be prepared to be micromanaged by the staff here.

Salvation has helped me in so many ways especially since I am trying to get back on my feet and life back together. I am grateful for the social services there who guided me in the right direction and provided me with helpful resources. God bless Salvation Army!

The Salvation Army are the unsung heroes of the El Paso community. Any time there is a crisis, they are there, serving fervently and patiently and most often without recognition. And that is on top of their day in and day out service to the needy of our community through their homeless shelter, soup kitchen, and financial aid for all those they are able to help. Plus they have a great their store that provides low cost clothing, furniture, and household items while giving all their profits back into the community! Amazing!

I'm learning there's a lot of rules. Rules are good. My 1st of 2 times in state detention taught me" you are going to mind somebody " . Why not here the warnings. It's very clean, and extremely cooperative staff. Great food, and ameneties.ty

I liked that the lady at the front was nice to me and my son. It was nice having my own room with him even though it needed sweeping and the people before didnt clean before leaving. I'm currently here and so far I think its great help . I wish there were two washers but at least there's any at all. There are 3 dryers. The cafeteria has the most nutritious meals. The only improvement is I wish we could have a key to our room (of course the office would have a copy). Thanks for this service to the community.
