Guy at the counter was playing Xbox and talking to other gamers on his headset. Could barely answer questions. Continued to play his game WHILE he’s doing all the computer rental info for me. Told his gamer friends “I’ll be right back” and basically RAN out to my truck to put the dolly in the back, barely showed me how the ramp worked, and then RAN back inside. I understand the job can just be a bunch of waiting, but a little unprofessional in my opinion!!

I will carry everything I own, piece by piece across the US before I ever call uhaul again. Never had a good experience, didn't at this location. Pick up is always so easy, then you return it and they want to nitpick.

My first drop off experience with this Uhaul was so pleasant. We always rent from Winnsboro as it is slightly closer to our home. On this one off occasion we had to return the trailer to Gilmer and the young man who checked us in was so nice and said if we ever rented again to try them. We had a huge move to Fort Worth, and while Winnsboro would have been closer I wanted to rent from Gilmer because the man had been so nice before, and I wanted to give him our business. We reserved a 20ft truck a week in advance. THE MORNING OF OUR MOVE we got a text they didn't have any trucks available and our only option was to go to Longview to get a truck. Longview is over an hour away from our home. We spent way too much time on the phone trying to figure out how to get the truck we reserved WAY in advance, and ended up with no option but to go to Longview. Made our moving day SO much longer and more complicated than it should have been. Then WE were charged for extra miles, when we weren't the ones who caused the extra miles! Wish I had just stuck with Winnsboro, as this started our long move out terribly! Very disappointing - very inconvenient - we made reservations a week out, did what we were supposed to do, and had to find out the morning of our move they didn't have a truck - you know that would make you so mad, too!

Great service, great people, rented a storage unit as well as the U-haul, ended up unloading late at night, the owners showed up and let us use their lights . Very kind and helpful, we greatly appreciated their kindness in a very difficult move. Thanks guys !
