Moving By Design moved a very heavy large glass dining table for us. The move required some advanced planning on the best way to carry it out and it was last minute. They went above and beyond. They worked us into their schedule and were very courteous and very careful with our fragile table. I highly recommend this company.

Needed to move a gun safe into my home asap. My initial delivery guy left it in the middle of my driveway, claiming that's all he was paid to do. It was going to rain that day, so I called to get an estimate, and they were ready to come out immediatley. Very nice, professional and would definitely use them again.. Hopefully not under the same circumstances.

We used Moving By Design for a local move from Houston to Webster. There were no issues with scheduling the move and I was able to complete the paperwork on line. Gabe, Evan and Chris were polite, proffessional and efficient. They even carried our cat in his travel crate up the stairs for me! We highly recommend them.

Such a great and smooth experience with Moving By Design. Tim Grey was quick to accommodate our needs and schedule as we were still operating a Business during the process. His Crew Mike, JR, Chris, Jason D, and Jason W were super quick moving all of our assets and very accommodating. They exceeded my expectations and finished the job 4 hours sooner than what was quoted initially. Would definitely recommend their services and will use them again in the future!

Moving by design is the best Moving company ever!!Our realtor had recommended them. Our belongings had been in a storage unit for over two years. Michael, Jr., Chris, and Charles handled our boxes and furniture quickly and professionally. They were a great team and we appreciate them making our move easier than we had imagined. They carefully arranged the furniture in our home and stacked boxes in our garage so that we can access them and go through them at our convenience. Tim and Christina in the office were most helpful too. We appreciate the positive move experience all the way around. They made a stressful day much easier

On extremely short notice (less than 1 day), we needed to have a heavy hospital bed and a lift chair moved out of my Father-in-law's apartment. Moving by Design was extremely helpful in making the arrangements for a team of three movers to meet me at the apartment facility. They were all extremely professional at the facility and extremely polite to everyone that they interacted with. They loaded the lift chair and the hospital bed (600 pounds) onto their truck and secured them. After following me to our home, they unloaded the hospital bed and moved it into the room that we designated. This was a feat in itself, but the made all the necessary adjustment to move the bed into the room and then set it up for us. They were extremely careful to avoid damaging the bed and chair or contacting any walls and doorframes. They did everything that we asked and more. I am very happy that Moving by Design moved this furniture for us, and I would highly recommend them to anybody who is making a move or needs assistance transporting furniture/household goods. They are professional from the moment that you first contact them, and that professionalism continues throughout the move process. We have used many movers through the years for long-haul and local moves, and I can say without any hesitation or reservation that they are the best. Three words that sum them up: polite, professional, and efficient.

About ten days before my move, I sent an email to Cristina with the details. The company responded quickly with an estimate. Once I scheduled the move, they emailed a contract as well as some helpful moving documents. They checked in with me the day before the move, and the crew showed up on time the next day. The three-man team was very efficient and hard-working. The actual charge ended up being right in line with the estimate.

Showed up on time for a long distance 2 day move. Three men loaded the truck. Two drivers and a crew member. Took good care of my things and loaded fast and efficiently. Two drivers then took the truck to the town in Tx where we moved. The next day they arrived and unloaded the truck into the new house and were really good about reassembling furniture and placing boxes where required. The move could not have gone any better and I would highly recommend this company. This was a complicated move that they made easy for me. Thank you so very much Leroy, Jason and Chris.

This was my second time to contact Moving By Design to move me from one apartment to another in two years. The first time, the move was fantastic. They sent me three very experienced and professional movers. They moved me from a 1 bedroom apartment to a two bedroom. I was so impressed by the move that I knew they would be my to go to movers for any future moves. I contacted them back in April and set up a day and time. I contacted them a second time to change my date from June 26 to June 22. On the morning of June 22, 2020 two men showed up. Not the three men I was promised. I could tell right away that one man had no experience at all and the second man had minimal experience. They completely fumbled the move. My heart is broken and now feel violated by a company that I trusted with all my possessions. Attached are pictures of how they left my furniture. My son had to come over and put the bed back together. It was a disaster and i was charged for 8 hrs of moving. They had about 5 hours of down time. They left at 11:45 am to go to lunch and came back at 1:45 pm but did not get out of the truck until some time after 3:00 pm. They actually left the property with all my boxes on the truck. I filed a complaint with the BBB asking for a receipt and a complete record of the move paperwork . MBD has not responded to my complaint or provided me my resolution. Please be very careful if you are considering hiring this company. You may be expecting a great move that turns into a nightmare. I still have not received a receipt or paperwork from the move that I requested in my complaint with the BBB.

I have over 16 THOUSAND DOLLAR OF DAMAGE to my furniture from a move from this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They had extremely subpar furniture packing skills which leads to massive furniture damage. (1) I trusted Christina at MovingByDesign when she told me they were experienced and I could trust them. I trusted them to pad and pack my townhouse of furniture into a 28 foot trailer. (2) Upon opening the trailer they packed, we noted immediately that the moving team had caused a MASSIVE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE to the furniture in the trailer in the course of packing without securing or padding appropriately. Wood furniture was wrapped in one layer of Saran Wrap (instead of blankets) and left unsecured. Most of my furniture was ruined - scratched, bent, dented, mishandled and mispacked. Among many other examples, there were huge scratches and dents across my dining room table, lamps thrown on top of other furniture, and multiple mirrors broken. (3) I had bought extra blankets, bungee cords, and I offered to buy more blankets from them if they needed them. I told them at the start of the day if they needed anything, to let me know. I bought them lunch halfway through the day, and asked if they needed anything. Nobody ever told me they were so haphazardly putting things into the trailer so that when I opened it, all this damage would be present. Do not use this company. They have dodged my attempts to work with them to file a formal insurance claim. They have not even offered to refund the price of moving. Do not make the same mistake as I did. Find another company, and protect your furniture.
