When I moved to the area seven years ago, I started trading at the Family Dollar just down the road because this Dollar General just seemed a bit gloomy and cramped, but I've recently began doing my quick-shopping at Dollar Genral and while the staff isn't especially cordial and the store is still drab and claustrophotic, the selection and freshness of goods on offer is miles above the Family Dollar store. For example, after shopping Family Dollar, I just assumed that Tastykake products left the factory stale and tasteless, but I took ao chance on a box of filled cupcakes at Dollar General today and wow! Moist & fresh with a lovely creme filling! I'll definitely try another Tastykake product next time I'm in the store. They stock an amazingly wide variety of products, most of them name brand. Need a carton of beef stock? They have it. Run out of cumin? Check their nice selection of spices. Jonesing for a carton of Blue Bell? You're out of luck. No more glorious half-gallons of honest-to-goosness Blue Bell; now It's just the usual dollar store dreck The only reason I'm reserving that fifth star is because I really don't enjoy dealing with glum, indifferent staffers and so far, the store really hasn't seemed especially welcoming. If that changes, I'll upgrade my rating but I intend to keep shopping theire either way.

Staff at this location aren't very friendly or helpful when you ask for help. Cashiers never at register, I've always have had to wait on cashier to return to register to be checked out.

This store seems to be in a good location and the store seems to be kept fairly clean THE PROBLEM IS NONE OF THIS MATTER WHEN THE EMPLOYEES THAT WORK ATBTHIS LOCATION ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. They seem irritated if you ask where an item can be found and a nice lady walked in and ask where the restroom was and the 2 employees laughed as they told her there wasn't one. Then added at least not for you there isn't and they continued to smirk as the disappointed customer walked away.all public stores should offer public restrooms it just doesn't make since not have a restroom if your serious about offering good service to anyone!

The manager was using derogatory language when communicating with a customers. My 10 year old granddaughter overheard this and looked at me in disbelief. Immediately she and I left the store. Sadly this isn't the first time I have heard this language come from her mouth.

Manager is very rude and hateful. Lazy woman. She doesn't know how to talk to people. The store stays a mess due to her under staffed store. Lines stay long and the merchandise stays all over the floor. You can tell employees have no time to clean and stock. So poorly ran. Needs new manager.

This and the Family Dollar right down the road must be in strict competition with one another! Both are the cleanest, best- stocked, and friendliest of this type of store that we have ever visited. So refreshing and appreciated after putting up so long with their Terrell counterparts. Saved us numerous trips into town.

Only one cashier ,on a Saturday. 9 people in line. The store is very dirty and cluttered. With only one on staff know wonder it so dirty. You can barely get down the isle because of grey plastic tubs every where. This is every day. Why!!!! Family dollar down the street is spotless and organized. They both were built at the same time. To bad dollar general doesn't care about there stores.

This store has a lady employee who refuses to wear her face mask correctly and when she rings up my purchase, she does so facing me with fully exposed nostrils while standing two feet away. Deplorable behavior, and I can't believe the store's management allows this. Face masks are for the protection of others. When this selfish lady wears her mask incorrectly, she's not taking chances with her health. She's taking chances with MINE, and that's just not right.

Selection of items is slim so don’t come here looking for something particular. Went in with my Mom for a couple things. As we got in line there was one cashier checking out a customer and one customer in front of us. We were 3rd in line and the line started to grow behind us. There was another woman at the other register but it had a closed sign and she wasn’t checking people out. At some point, she opened up but instead of taking the lady in front of us who had one item or even us (she proceeded to check out every single customer in line BEHIND us and the lady who was NEXT in line. In the land of retail you are supposed to take the next in line not just whoever you want to take.

Close to the house, so much easier than going to Quinlan for a couple of items. Me & my husband go in a couple times a week, has always been clean. Great prices on milk, Oak Farms less than 3.00. Only been sold out once. Clerks are great, friendly!
