I use to go to this place every day and never had a single issue until last night. And it was not a small one. The night of 10/10/2022, I went to the pumps to put gas into my car, just to have it declined twice at the gas pumps. I then went inside and they told me their system for some reason for their gas pumps could not read or has been malfunctioning. Which happens. Keep in mind that these workers are just normal employees and people. They get told what they are told and it had happened before where their readers do not work and you will have to pay inside. Whether inside, since I DID have to insert my chip in their device inside, or the readers on the pumps---I am guessing they do not check their card readers every morning, afternoon, or night. It was my only transaction on my husband's card for that day. This card is RARELY ever used any where else except Shaws. There was only one other person with me in the store ahead of me purchasing his items. While 2 workers staffed at that time. And as of Morning 10/11/22 between lunch time and 4pm, I found that someone IN Michigan and in Texas (we are in VT, of course) had withdrawn all my husband's money from his account from a CVS. Today is a very disappointing day. Luckily we split our money from spending and savings, but over all, this could have been devastating if it was another family. Sadly the cops do not have authority to check their card readers out because it is an owned business. I will NEVER go there again. And everyone, be safe with your account.

Don't ask them to do their job. Me and my husband are about a 2 min walk from this location. In the last 3 years that we've lived here we have probably given this place a lot of our money. Theres only 2 employees here who aren't incredibly rude or have the attitude at this location. Last night (Friday, April 24th at 10pm) was our final straw. A brunette woman with glasses was so condescending to us because we didn't understand the promotional rules on the candy and soda deals. She completely shamed my husband for wanting some of his money back because we didn't see the teeny tiny print that told us what we needed to know. She acted annoyed that we missed the rules, and angrily grabbed the drinks she had to rescan out of my husbands hands as my husband apologized (which he shouldn't have to). I am just blown away by how rude she was, even saying "this is going to be a lot harder since you did it with your card." Isn't this her job? I hope someone at this place of business explains to her how empathy and doing the basics of your job works. The entire thing would've played out different had she been understanding that we were human beings that made a normal error. Needless to say my husband is now refusing to go here ever again for fear of being shamed publicly for not understanding the "rules of cumberland farms." We'll just get all of our items at market 32, it's right down the road.

I’m here almost every Saturday morning and have never had a bad customer service experience. I will say that the store is pretty grimy, but what can you expect for 99 cent coffee and the cheapest gas prices in the area?

How can you not love free coffee Fridays in October??? Good snack attack foods and beverages at fairly decent prices. Cheap gas every day! Cumbys is a true convenience store that their competition should learn from!

I come to the store a few nights a week around 12-3 am . And I always take my time to look around and make sure I got everything I want. But tonight I was you know doing the same looking around seeing what I want and the men working told me I have 10 minutes left to get what I want or he’s not going to cash me out for 30 minutes and then I would have to wait. That was so rude and unexpected I was doing nothing more but looking for what I wanted.

Ive worked here and want to clear up issues. Firstly - the pumps dont print receipts as a result of the gas conpany not fixing. We always had paper in the pumps Second - drain grates were cleaned constantly cleaned but customers take the signs and do the opposite. 'I want farmhouse original' after filling your cup with bold and creamer, pours it out When i brought problems to Chris, he would literally laugh them off. Everyone is on different pages, constantly understaffed I eventually got nerve damage running around the store doing everyone else's job, temp log was never a priority - only not getting yelled at for it not being done was priority, frozen foods never pulled and dated by anyone except me or asst manager but numbers were somehow expected to increase, promised serve safe cert and never happened, boss let asst managers cert expire, gets haircuts on company time "because it grows on company time." Theres no teamwork and the tools for success are burried so deep you'd be in China by the time you reached them. Liz has her own thing going on and thinks shes boss - cant take criticism, on her own page, and gets in the way of others work. When you tell her 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 times that it doesnt work like that and it messes it up, same as boss - she 'hmms' and shrugs it off.

3 out of the past five times I have come to this "24 hour" Cumberland farms, it has been "closed for maintenance" while the guy working there smokes cigarettes outside. what is the point of a 24 "convenience" store, if when I go there they are closed even though they are LISTED as open 24 HOURS and I have to go home or drive to price chopper? I will not waste my time ever again on cumbys until I hear they have fixed the issues at this store. since the night employee has told me he is the only one they can get to do it, I'll probably just take my business elsewhere. Vermont has very few late night business options, and by having this one be run so poorly that you can't make purchases when you NEED to, it is sending business everywhere else. seems counterintuitive. other Cumberland farms I have NEVER had this problem with, yet this specific one seems to think something EXTREMELY irregular for a 24 hour place is "normal" and do it regularly. done putting up with fake hours and terrible service, from entitled employees who tell me "this is how it is". what a horrible way to run a corporation.

We stopped in here on our way out of Burlington, I was impressed by how well stocked this store is. My friend loves getting the $1 coffee from here, but I didn't try it. A few of my friends rave about the coffee they get at this chain. I was amazed by the assortment of java that you can get at Cumby's, plus it's way cheaper than Dunkin! Nice flavored coffee creamer selection too if you are into that kind of thing. There were 4 different types of iced coffee, which was good to see. There is a nice assortment of healthier fast food options like yogurt, salads, parfait cups and sandwiches. There was a small selection of items like beer, wine and hard cider. Store was clean, well organized and kept up! Perfect place to grab a quick drink or snack.

I don’t normally write reviews but Iv has 4 bad interactions now with the same guy behind the counter. Joe P. If your reading this you need better customer service. To the other older lady that’s always behind the counter you’re great.
