5 Best convenience store in Burlington, Vermont (VT) 2024

If I could give a no-star review, I would. The young lady that works there is vulgar. I decided to go there to get a mismade sandwich, and when I mentioned it, she was irate. I usually go there later in the evening. The register's people were amicable and professional. However, the young lady that refers to herself as the manager is terrible. Not professional and is losing the store business. I will not go back even though it is one of the closest stores by my house. She is judgemental, and I am a college student, so I am usually on the fly. I think she believes everyone who goes in it is homeless or something of that effect; if you're a man, she seems less rude. If they replace her, then perhaps the company will do much better. She should be supervised or not work with the public. Their food is overpriced, and they can't even make a sandwich. I would gladly drive to The Essex Colonial Mart before going back to Kerry's Kwik Stop. They might charge a little more, but excellent customer service and great sandwiches. ~J

This is the place I always go when it's only 8 AM and I'm already having a bad day, so I can't face the rest of the day without someone else making breakfast for me. Every time I go here I'm way too sleepy to even put in my order like an awake person, but every time the staff have had infinite patience with me. I'd give the service 6 stars if I could. The bagel egg and cheese sandwiches are pretty great too. ~H.A

Just went into the Shelburne road Burlington location for a COVID shot. While waiting my 10-15 minutes after the shot I walked around the store. I took a picture of a toy to send to wife as a suggestion as a gift. The manager comes out from the back room and harasses me about taking pictures and roaming around. Very insulting. I let him know that I would never shop at a Kinney's ever again because of his actions and I won't. Appalling! ~Mark

The store is nice, and the staff is nice but I don't recommend the pharmacy. They kept running out of prescriptions that I was getting regularly and had to be on to keep me alive, yet every time I asked for a refill they were out and forgot to order more. They also gave me the wrong prescription on two different occasions. I switched pharmacies and no longer have these issues, so I know it's specific to Walgreens on North Ave. ~Jasmine

I use to go to this place every day and never had a single issue until last night. And it was not a small one. The night of 10/10/2022, I went to the pumps to put gas into my car, just to have it declined twice at the gas pumps. I then went inside and they told me their system for some reason for their gas pumps could not read or has been malfunctioning. Which happens. Keep in mind that these workers are just normal employees and people. They get told what they are told and it had happened before where their readers do not work and you will have to pay inside. Whether inside, since I DID have to insert my chip in their device inside, or the readers on the pumps---I am guessing they do not check their card readers every morning, afternoon, or night. It was my only transaction on my husband's card for that day. This card is RARELY ever used any where else except Shaws. There was only one other person with me in the store ahead of me purchasing his items. While 2 workers staffed at that time. And as of Morning 10/11/22 between lunch time and 4pm, I found that someone IN Michigan and in Texas (we are in VT, of course) had withdrawn all my husband's money from his account from a CVS. Today is a very disappointing day. Luckily we split our money from spending and savings, but over all, this could have been devastating if it was another family. Sadly the cops do not have authority to check their card readers out because it is an owned business. I will NEVER go there again. And everyone, be safe with your account. ~A
