My wife and I had a late lunch here today after a very pleasant 'eBird' walk (sighting and counting birds using two apps from The Cornell Lab) out and back on the Fries Spur part of the New River Trail. I had the 'Rachel" and my wife had the 'Classic'. Both Great, as was the Sweet Tea.

Great little cafe on the New River in the town of Fries. Beautiful scenery viewable from indoor or outdoor seating. Have a wonderful glass of sweet tea out on the patio, order one of their incredible chicken sandwiches, or just get the homemade potato chips with a side of ranch. Friendly, attentive staff made me feel welcome from the time I walked in until we left. Within walking distance of the New River trail. Don't miss out! Stop in next time you're in the neighborhood.

The food is really good. So far what has been much better then avarage are any of the Burgers & French fries. Also, I hear the peel & shrimp on Saturday nights is amazing & the Taco Salad is my personal Fav! The Cafe looks like a small town "hole in the wall", but their food and staff have always been on point every time Ive been there. Keep in mind they are serving a whole town, so sometimes you may have to wait a minute for your food, but its worth it.

We went there for Breakfast while we were up in the area looking for properties. The service was great, and the food was was definitely something that hit the spot. We plan on going there quite often when we are back up that way. 👍👍👍

Excellent food and service. Called ahead to let them know a group of motorcyclist were coming. They were ready for us when we arrived. The staff was very inviting. Beautiful view of the New River just a hundred yards or so from the restaurant. When it was time to pay they thanked us and asked if any of us were veterans. We then received a discount on our checks. Awesome.

Friendly staff - learned a lot about the history of the town, past industry, current tourism along The New River Trail (State Park), bluegrass music and flat footing at the community center. Classic comfort food at very reasonable prices. This little cafe has a lot of potential for a destination dining experience.

Convenient restaurant in downtown Fries. I had the mini club and my husband had the melt. Both were fresh and delicious. The service was fast and efficient.

Great small town restaurant. The burgers are huge. Would come back if I lived around here.
