I just had a wonderful experience at Harris Teeter. This is all thanks to Chris. When lines were busy he opened up another register and helped his fellow employees. I can tell he is a hardworking, professional, and caring employee.

I make a 30 minute drive to shop at this Harris Teeter, all because of Shemar, who works at the Meat & Seafood Department. Shemar always treats me with respect and goes above and beyond to marinade my meats. Respectful and professional always!

Update: This store continues to be a nice experience. It does get busy at certain times so I usually shop early Sunday. On occasion they run out of specials but feel that is the norm now. Overall remains a good grocery store. Friendly staff, good produce and meats, good store specials, and usually quick checkout. Been shopping here for 7 years and no major complaints. Closest I've found to good grocery store where I moved from.

Please invest in more of the small carts. Other HT locations have 10-20. This one has 4. For people with mobility issues - disabilities, injuries, recent surgeries, etc. - the smaller carts are crucial for those of us who only have use of one hand.

On day I order some fried chicken for pickup. Well when I came to pick it up it was not ready. She was so busy that morning it slipped her mind. Well the manager awarded me the chicken at free cost. I was so thankful for that even though I offered to pay she said no its on us. I love Harris Teeters I shop there alot. The staff is awesome. S Williams

First the positive - their displays and merchandising is superb. I like to see what they have in stock. Their deli and bakery offers delicious fare. Their sub sandwiches are delicious with scrumptious bread and good toppings. Their associate Tasha is brilliant and an asset to their department. Look for her - she is attentive to her customers, showing that you matter. Even the department manager, Angie, does good work. ❤ So definitely seeing improvement in their customer service. Now, to the unfortunate negatives. They have the biggest flies I have seen in Virginia. They look like drones! After contributing ten, I stopped counting and just made sure said creatures weren't near what I bought. The unfortunate part - they are present in a place in the food business. So seeing flies is a bit disconcerting. And there is still inconsistency in their mask procedures. Most associates had them on their face, but many wore them incorrectly. Either under the nose or even under the chin. Maybe such were lessons I missed in biology and anatomy classes, but does a person breathe through just their jaw? 😒 Customer interaction is the primary time when you will be in close proximity to another person more than likely not of your immediate household. So if it is going to happen, it should happen safely to protect the employee and the customer. Sigh. Will I go back? Yes. But only with a vigilant eye for the anomalies and a smiling eye (yes, big smiles that are covered by a mask do show through the eyes too 😁) for good service and products.

This is my go-to store when something is needed. Their store is kept clean and tidy. Everything is usually in-stock and very easy to find. Check-out is usually fairly quick. Staff always seems content or happy, never flustered, mad, or disappointed. Staff are always very helpful when asked to assist with something. Decent prices on everything in-store. I highly recommend the rotisserie chicken from the deli section. The staff there are amazing and will let you know how long until the food is ready so you can come back or hang around and get it fresh. This deli sections "Boar's Head" meats display looked amazing, and was possibly the best display I have seen in a store for quite some time. The packages were all orderly and in nice rows, with nothing out of place. The TV above the display played a nice and cheerful product informational clip, and was very welcoming and clean.

A great place to shop. Courteous, clean, and an abundance of necessities. Also, I love their bucket of fried chicken. I can't say it is better than that big, country-wide colonel place, but their chicken isn't worth the extra five mile drive (or, maybe, 1 mile drive) and I don't have to double-check my order for what I asked.
