Island Pie has the best pepperoni pizza on the island AND the best squash pizza you'll find anywhere in the world! Above all this is the service delivered by the owner. You will meet her at the door and at your table as you begin to enjoy the rest of the dinning experience. I'm going back to Orcas Island next year in a large part to get another meal at ISLAND PIE.

Tasty vegetarian squash pizza with a unique, fresh, and delicious cheesecake special for dessert. The staff and owners are all friendly and helpful! The patio is really cute, too. Make reservations ahead of time and save room!

We visited Deer Harbor for several days. We first went to Island Pie on a Wednesday. It was very busy and the service showed that it was. No real coordination on how to manage a busy restaurant. The owner chose to mostly visit with locals while the tourist majority were slightly ignored. Our server that evening was Greysee and she worked so hard that night while the rest of the staff leisurely went about not really doing much because there was no organization coming from the top. We came back Saturday night as the pizza is really good although extraordinarily expensive as islands are, but sat at our table for a long time early in the evening before they were busy and not even brought water. The owner was maybe 10 feet away talking to locals for a very long time about so and so who passed away and other restaurants in Olga Bay and how the tourists are such a pain. Even the self proclaimed locals at the next table apologized to us because we had to hear the complaints about tourists while we still hadn’t even been served water in the blazing sun after at least 15 min. They were embarrassed. The island clearly depends on tourists during the summer as the local who the owner was talking to even said how the island environment allows them to hibernate in winter as nature intended. We finally got our order taken and served but you could easily see the locals were favored. There really isn’t much except scenery in Deer Harbor (no hiking, no shops) so if you’re a boater as we are you might want to hit up Lopez or San Juan. They make a normal effort at minimum in their customer service, usually more. Seems like Orcas doesn’t need or want us. At least in Deer Harbor.

This place is fantastic (I honestly don't understand the unfairly low-ish 3.9 stars rating it currently has). Pizzas are so tasty: we tried "Americas favorite" with pepperoni and cheese and it was delicious. The dough is made in house and is so fresh it melts in your mouth. Garlic knots were delicious as well. The service is incredibly friendly and fast. They have university students interning/working during summer along with the owner which is a wonderful way to create opportunities and engage the community. The ambience is welcoming with music playing in the background and magnificent views from the terrace - you don't want to leave this place (we lingered on the terrace for a while after finishing dinner taking in the view with beautiful colors of the sunset). Kid-friendliness: Open and welcoming to all. Kids friendly. Parking: Parking can fill up quickly, you might have to drive around a bit to find a spot on one of the streets. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza dough available.

This place is amazing. The pizza was delicious! The lady that brought the pizza was super sweet. I imagine she was the owner as she knew a lot about the pizza, and seemed very passionate about how it was made. We got the seasonal squash pizza. Also the chocolate pis dessert we got was amazing too!

Stopped in for dinner after whale watching with a group of 8. The pizzas were good and the service was friendly. We got 4 pizzas and a couple appetizers for the whole table and it was plenty. Great place to stop if you're at the marina.

Pretty disappointing. I suggest picking up a frozen pizza-breadsticks, they will be so much better. Our glass of wine had probably been open for a week. And the garlic rolls were pretty lack luster. Not cooked through and simply not edible. There is a clear lack of passion and skill with the owner/manager. I felt sorry for the employees- with no quality leadership. I’m sure there will be a response saying how sorry they are but continue to not make any considerable changes.

This is one of my favorite places to eat! The owners are a wonderfully kind couple that provide a beautiful and welcoming dining atmosphere. My husband and I have made multiple day trips from the Seattle area specifically to visit, where we can watch the boats in the marina over a glass of wine and delicious pizza. Highly recommend the seasonal squash offering the fall, that one was gone almost the second it hit the table!

We made a point of driving out to Deer Harbor to try Island Pie, and we were not disappointed in the least! I am originally from New York and a pretty critical pizza eater; we are always looking for a good place to get a decent pie. That being said, this is definitely NOT NY style pizza, but it IS absolutely delicious! The crust is thin and crispy, and does not have a giant, thick crust around the edge, so you can enjoy your toppings in every bite. The sauce was good and blended well with the cheeses in the toppings. My wife enjoyed her pizza (seasonal) so much she would have rated a six if she could! All pies are 12" which makes it easy, since you just need to choose toppings. Service was friendly and the views are outstanding, as the restaurant is nestled right in the harbor. Island Pie is highly recommended for your visit to Orcas Island!

We met the owner and she's very nice. The food and wine tastes great. Definitely coming back for more authentic Italian cuisine. The freshly baked Focaccia was absolutely perfect. The apple crisp pie with vanilla ice cream is extremely delicious, not heavily cinnamon and the apple tastes great.
