We had a reservation for a group of 6 on September 15th. We had all just gotten into town from around the US and this was our first time to Orcas Island. We were unaware that they didn't accommodate indoor seating and were sat at an outdoor table. Unfortunately, it was already starting to get windy and chilly for the night and we were with my elderly grandmother who could not manage sitting outside. I asked the host if we could wait and get moved inside or possibly get a meal for her to go. The host was very nice and said he would go as the waiter to see what could be done. The waiter was profoundly rude. He would not even stand still to speak with me and I had to follow him around the restaurant while he spoke. He said there was no way to seat any of us inside and that he could make no exceptions for to-go food. I understand having to follow rules, but it was shocking that he wouldn't even stand there and actually talk to me. He just blew us off. Our group left the restaurant, but not before I was stopped by two other patrons who said they were appalled by the waiter.

This is the best Mexican food I've had since arriving in the Pacific Northwest from Texas a decade ago. Truly delicious colorado sauce and dungeness guacamole.

Very good food and great service. Menu was not a very large but everything on it was delicious. Glad we made reservations ahead of time because it was crowded the whole time we were there. Even the locals were eating there so you know it's good.

Nice looking little restaurant with terrible customer service. Clearly the staff including the manager doesn't know how to treat their customers. After 30 minutes wait we dined inside and it isn't as nice as it looked from outside, cramped and loud. We got seated at an odd shaped table right next to restroom. Service was rushed and food is subpar. There's also outdoor dining space and probably that's a better choice if you still decide to eat here.

Very cool space. Very unique environment. Staff were very friendly, attentive, and friendly, even though it was crowded and busy. But the food was just ok. Both myself and companion had the same opinion. Just ok and expensive. A large blackberry margarita, which was a full pint glass was $22.

Made reservations margaritas were awesome but felt super rushed. I am not a normal or authentic Mexican and felt like I was a bother asking questions. Stating this is authentic Mexican not American. Okay fine but help me know what is what. The food came with tons of tomatoes and I'm not a fan so the waiter was rude and said this is what you said Okay just help me box it up then. The restaurant is cute and quaint just help me figure it what is best for me and my kids we don't know exactly what authentic Mexican is. It should be about customer service not being a bother. We wanted another round of drinks and he would not come around until the very end. Nice but not a fan of the weight staff.

The restaurant was nicely decorated and our waiter was super friendly. The fish tacos were probably the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Definitely would go back again. I would advise to make reservations ahead of time as it can get quite busy. There was a bit of a line after we got in around 1700. Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes … More

Wow, the food is terrific so don't let the other stuff bother you, as in there not being enough help (affecting every restaurant in town) and limited seating and often no last-minute space (make reservations!!!). When we talked to the owner, she was disappointed that she didn't have enough help to open the outdoor section, and that she was trying her best to get everyone in on time (our reservation was right on the dot), even the take-out orders. That said, let's jump right into the meat of things, so to speak. The sangria is made fresh daily and brought in (my friend loved it, even after being told it was quite sweet, which is was), and the chef trained throughout Mexico and is VERY picky about his recipes and that they are adhered to...it shows! This isn't your ordinary "americanized" Mexican food; the food is pleasantly authentic, from the mole dishes to the fish tacos (3 in an order). People around us loved their margaritas and one customer we bumped into on our way out was back again to order the pork-filled chile verde he enjoyed here the day before, among the best he's had he told us. All in all, we had a great meal that was quickly delivered with not a hint of being short-handed, even if it was obvious that they were. Make time for this place...and reserve your spot (reservations almost mandatory). Or better yet, apply for a job here and get a great meal each time you work...

Delicious dinner! Blackberry margarita, street corn appetizer, I got the dos enchiladas with greens, my hubs got the short ribs. So glad we got to eat here on our trip.

Delicious authentic food and amazing service. Reminder that most restaurants are short-staffed these days and working extra hard to take care of guests. Be patient and kind.
