Service used to be better. Pretty frequently go in and have to wait several minutes for cashier to come and ring you up. Always seem to be off doing other jobs rather than working the register. Busy store maybe consider having someone dedicated to working the register. Maybe hire somebody else to clean the restrooms.

I never know what to expect when I go here, but I'm always pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and clean store. I wish the outside was as clean as there inside. It's hard to pull out onto the highway though. At least there's a convenient back entrance.

I have other options for service but none are as convenient as the one that is across from the Publix supermarket. However, in the past 3 visits I could find no towels in any of the several dispensers and a good number of the credit card readers on the pumps were inoperable. The last time I was there, I left without buying gas at all because the reader would not recognize that a card had been inserted. The grounds are generally filthy with litter and run down as you might expect to see in some out of the way location where there are few other options. The poor girl at the counter actually told me the manager there refused to buy towels and handed me several napkins from the coffee area. I told her I was going to report the condition of the store and she merely shrugged. As a rule, I like Mapco stations and every other one in this area is being run and maintained properly from what I can tell. It is unfortunate that Mapco has so little influence over the manager of this store that they can't prevail upon him/her to shape up.

Sunday, March 2, approx 1:00p. I discovered that the Mapco near my house had their mulch out. I pulled in, loaded 12 bags of Cypress mulch, and went into pay. The Cashier fumbled around a bit and then told me "I cannot sell it to you. I don't have a Bar Code. "Do you mean to tell me that I have to go back out and unload my van?" As I stood there with my MAPCO REWARDS card, I told her "This is NOT GOOD." As a previous owner of a Convenience Store, I have never refused to sell a customer a product. Your Cashier is either an idiot (she could have rung it up under General Merchandise), OR she is following a very bad Management Policy. Either way, you have lost a VERY BIG customer. (thousands of MAPCO Rewards points). And, just so you know - when you lose a customer, you actually lose about 5 customers.
