This was the worst experience with auto repair I've had . These scumbags are truly the epitome of the word crook. Their customer service is horrible. My car was with these idiots for 3 weeks and it was towed away in worst condition than when it arrived at thier shop. The whole experience with Madison Transmission was definitely an exercise in patience and I also understand everyone's experience will not be the same, so, Good luck. In December of 2021 my vehicle transmission was not changing gears as it should also there was a harsh bump when down shifting from 2nd to first gears. I went to one transmission repair shop and was told, after they've driven it around, that the problem could not be fixed until the check engine light come on because there were no codes showing after they used the computer to analyze the transmission. I went to Madison Transmision next, and I was told that I could get it repaired within 4 days. The problem was that by it being Christmas season, I really didn't have the funds for the repairs at that time. I went back to them the first week in February 2022 to have the repairs done and I tell you, this is the last week in April, I have been driven to Jacksonville, Florida twice (from Madison, AL) and my transmission is purring like a kitten. I also must commend the personnel there at Madison Transmission for their excellent customer service. I would recommend this business to anyone that is in need of transmission repair. Did a good job, but didn't seal the gasket completely. Corrected, and provided a warranty, but it still raises concerns. Will still likely return for other work if needed.

I had a transmission rebuild done a little over a year ago and it’s out again. Come to find out they used a trans cooler clip and wrapped around my pulse width valve to stop it, which is highly unprofessional. Also you can see where they left the valve body pistons in it when cleaning. You can see half the piston was clean and the other half was dirty where it was never removed. They did put a new servo in it for me but that was about all that was properly done to my unit. I rebuilt and cleaned it myself this time and it’s better than when I first got it back from this place. Highly unsatisfactory workmanship!

I was referred to bring my vehicle here by another mechanic ship to diagnose and repair a problem with my vehicle. The car was there for several days and I did not get the problem resolved. I was continuously told that one employee would have to speak to his business partner and then the other way around. Eventually I was told that one thought it was one problem and the other thought it was something different. They then told me to come pick up the car because they were unable to locate the part. I was able to find the part myself, and it turned out to not be either of the problems. My biggest complaint is that they continued to put the blame off on the next person, the poor communication, and the lack of effort to properly diagnose and repair. Even if they couldn't have repaired the car the customer service could've been better.

Highly recommend shopping around before choosing this place. Most importantly I dropped my car off and was told I’d get a call with a quote before the work was started for approval, I never got that call and was only called once the job was completed and told the cost of the repair. The amount of the repair was on the high end for repairs and definitely warranted a call before any work was done. I’d understand if the repair cost was less than 1k but this job was not and I just had to take their word for it that that’s what was needed. The owner of the place had the great response to my questioning of why I wasn’t called of, well why did you have your car towed here if you didn’t want it fixed, and that they can just put my old parts back in it and let me tow it away. Incredibly unprofessional response for the owner of a shop, he could have at least owned up to the mistake and I wouldn’t have been as bothered by the lack of communication. Instead he tried to put the blame on me and his front desk employee. If you want a professional mechanic to work on your car do not take it here, if you saw where this shop was and looked you’d probably choose to turn away anyway but before you get there take my advice and keep looking for other options.

They took the time to check out my truck. Ran all sorts of computer scans, did a road test, and even out it up on jacks to have a look underneath. My problem was deemed to unrelated to the transmission. They told me what to do to fix it myself or where I could take it. When I tried to pay, he said No Charge. Other shops wanted $50 just to look at it. I have a new transmission shop that will be doing all my work from now on.
