I goto big lots for my household tissue and paper towels faithfully. And I am so thankful, being disabled that they finally moved there never out paper goods to front of store instead of all way in back

I visited the Big Lot's location in Rainbow City Alabama in August 2022. When checking out I showed the cashier a 20% coupon in which I had received thru email. The cashier could not get the barcode to scan so he asked for my email address and still the barcode would not go thru. He tried numerous times and called a mgr (Deana Carroll) to come to the front. The mgr tried the same approaches and stated it wasn't going to work but had a unprofessional, noncaring demeanor while attempting to scan the barcode on the coupon. I have been told by an employee at another location that a mgr can over ride or resolve this issue. Instead this mgr just seemed to not care if coupon worked or not. However the cashier scanned my rewards card then the coupon barcode and it went thru. All the 20 mins it took to resolve the issue, the mgr could have fixed the problem. I have lots of choices where to shop and it does not have to be Big Lot's with poor customer service.

The store is really nice with a wide variety of merchandise. The store and restroom were very clean. The main problem here is their piped in music that the employees hate as much as I do. All that ridiculous so-called music made me want to leave. It was too loud as well. That will keep me from coming back. It's not just on this visit, but all past visits too. It's not the employee's fault.

Bought a queen size bed and it's nice and comfy. Employees helped us pick it out and helped us load it onto our truck. Friendly staff. Good service. The bed was affordable.

Very clean store, very nice set up. Employees are very friendly, especially one named Vanessa! Very sweet young lady who helped my grandmother several times during our visit find the items she needed and was even asking what else was on her list to make sure she found everything and got everything correctly. She was outstanding, and went above normal employees I've encountered here and many other places! We love shopping at this store and will continue to do so with how nice it is!
