I've never gone into a "grocery store" where so many people are happy to be there, having conversations while they wait to be served. The pastry counter was crazy but fun and the wait was short. The rest of the store is like on steroids with crafty foods, beverages and household goods. I guarantee if you into the store to just look, you'll come away with something yummy!

I have Always enjoyed coming to AJ's. Never had an issue. Today after filling my cart, decided to get some sweets and tea's at the bakery. Once my number was called, the woman helping me boxed my sweets and said she would have my teas shortly. I ordered 4 as I had my husband and grandsons with me. No problem. I went to pay and asked the female cashier if she could bag my sweets and could I paywhile I waited and she said no, it was a policy because of the type of people they get and the area of the store. I told her I didn't understand what she was saying. The woman next to me said "it's because you're black and that is so disrespectful and rude since they took my money and packed mine and I am waiting for my drink as well." I was was so shocked and offended. She walked away before I could get her name, but a nice young man took my payment and bagged my sweets for me in her place. He heard her. I was offended and embarrassed. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Will not go back to that spot. I am still in shock.

Love this place. They have a wide variety of delicious fresh baked goods. I only ventured as far as the coffee/ bakery counter. I picked up a medium dark coffee. And enjoyed the seating out side on a beautiful day. The counter people were very nice and dispite that there were a lot of people in line they were very efficient. The coffee is definitely delicious. This is a nice place to sit down and enjoy a quick bit and some bean juice. I will make this a place to come back to

How much joy, I have getting baked goods here there bakery is out of this world so many varieties you'll have a hard time deciding what to get today I got the double chocolate muffin and a large robust coffee which the coffees is super amazing as well love getting me so aj in the am

I had a wonderful experience at your beautiful store today. This was my first time shopping there and what a delight. My brother lives in Europe and called into your deli for an order to go, for my family and I, and he spoke with Tina Conner, who prepared four beautiful Thanksgiving plates with a variety of sides and plenty of everything and dessert. My mom, my sister and I enjoyed everything so much. There were several other employees over by desserts who helped me by being very kind and helpful and located Tina for me. I wish I had gotten their names. I would love for them to know that it meant alot to me to receive their help. A young guy helped out with getting Tina for me, at the desserts counter, very polite and helpful. And the gentleman helped me with blueberry muffins and pumpkin pies, also very polite and helpful. Excellent customer service, excellent food. Beautiful, amazing deserts, Thanksgiving dinners, and a great variety of everything anyone would need.

Delicious pizza by the slice. I really don't expect high quality prepared foods from most grocery stores. While I haven't had some of AJ's Fine Foods other prepared foods, I keep coming back for a slice or two of their pizza, prepared and cooked on site. The slices are a very decent size and quite reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and fun, sometimes with a witty remark or two. It is on my list when I want something fast and delicious for lunch or dinner.

I normally avoid gourmet supermarkets because of how expensive they tend to be. I was shocked to see prices were extremely reasonable for imported items I would have thought to be much more expensive. I got great tray Serrano Ham for less than $7, a can of smoked oysters for less than $3, and excellent fresh sushi, for less than I pay at common supermarkets and far higher quality. I will be returning weekly, and also wondering what else I've been avoiding for apparently wrong reasons...
