When you have no place to go on a family that needs shelter go ahead and go I did now it's a very funny neighborhood you got guys dressing up in female pants on the outsideor you got a girl waiting for somebody to get out of their car and then steal it right in front of you on my daughter's birthday just a very interesting place of course I'll recommend it to anybody cuz it's a place to go as long as they have the room

Breakfast at 6:45 for the shelter folks and people can line up at 7 to get a plate. Currently beds are limited due to a recent fire but they are working on getting everything in order to take in more folks. The staff during the day can give you a snack bag if you need lunch and they can provide a list of community organizations that help with clothing. Not sure what else they offer other than an overnight bed for women and children. You have to be out by 7:30 a.m. and cannot return until 4 pm and they stop taking folks at 7 pm. They have a gate and cameras so it is fairly safe and approximately a mile from the police station and courts on Markham Street. Also close to the River Front Park and Walking paths.

I took a friend here. Not much help to her. Sadly, she's a victim of a domestic violence situation.. resources are almost non-existent. They're pretty rude

They were very fast with the interview and applying process. I was approved for food stamps on 3 hours. Go there instead of applying online

If I could give it a zero I would. I moved here with my husband and 2 small Children from Arizona to accept a very well paying job offers in the medical Marijuana industry. I was in contact with the director here months before actually coming to the state making him fully aware of my job offer and my industry. Not only do I have my medical card but I'm also a dispensary agent. I was discriminated against and kicked out for this EVEN THOUGH I NEVER EVER brought my medication to the facility. I always parked off property with my medication in a travel safe but Because my smell was offensive and I was told by William Tollett "you can't use drugs and stay here" this was a classic case of medical discrimination and the only reason I couldn't do anything about it was because they're a non profit organization who doesn't have to recognize my recovery from stage 2B melanoma cancer.

I wanted to drop off 6 winter coats that were gently used. I tried calling all day on Tuesday, December 27 to only get voicemails. I went by there at 3:35 to drop them off. No signs saying where to go to drop off. A worker told me through a locked glass door for me to go through the kitchen. I had no idea where it was, so here I was holding 6 heavy coats walking around the building. He was holding the door open and took the coats, no offer of a receipt. I told him that they were the most unuser friendly place to drop off a donation. He yelled back at me "What did you say?" I want to be able to assist, but when you have uncaring & rude people working there it makes you wonder if your money and help is needed elsewhere. I can only imagine how the homeless are treated there. Not a pleasant experience.................
