If I could give negative 5, I would. I am not shocked about the 2 star average (which is still too high) I’ve been a customer with CITIBANK for over 30 years. On Jan 1 with no warning, due to a bank account opened specifically for one reason a year ago, I lost access to my checking account and all credit cards registered on the citi mobile app. FOR NO REASON. I received no notifications from CITI about anything, NOTHING. The system was forcing me to activate a debit card THAT I HAVE NEVER BEEN GIVEN. I even called someone 6 months ago when the app started saying I had a new card (that I never received) to activate and they NEVER TOLD ME I NEEDED AN ACTIVATED DEBIT CARD TO USE THE MOBILE APP (that I had already been using for years). I NEVER EVER received a debit card for the account, NOT EVER. I visited the Citrus Heights branch to resolve the issue, but the service provided was absolutely horrible. Not once did the lead behind the counter acknowledge or explain why it happened, she just kept saying a debit card is required to use the app, when I asked why it worked for a year and now I have no access to anything, she didn’t acknowledge the question. All she did was order a new debit card to be delivered tomorrow and I guess I’ll need to sign for it, but was adamantly clear she couldn’t guarantee when. She didn’t offer a tracking number, and I have not received ANY communication from CITIBANK regarding the card shipment. She apparently doesn’t understand in order to Kill a customer with kindness, the customer needs to be convinced it’s sincere. Well, she can’t play that off at all. She sets a horrible example for her staff by being condescendingly sweet, especially when it’s apparent she has passed judgement on a customer, talks to them like they’re stupid, and just overall didn’t care about the situation. All she saw was a busy branch and wanted to keep the line moving. It’s so disappointing. It’s possible I will no longer do ANY financial business with CITI in the future.

Worst place. ATM has been down for couple months. Talked with banker about the problem. They all know it. They just do NOT want to fix it. Wondering if it's the same as in the east.

Quick easy n painless the teller was friendly n the line went very fast Theyre starting to remodel inside so there could b sum delays in future bexause of that but overall a pleasant experience

Most awful experience I’ve ever had at a bank. ATM seems to never be working. I waited in a long line foe 1/2 of hour and was told to go get money order some where else just so I can pay my credit card bill that I have with them! They wouldn’t take my money…..a bank that doesn’t except money for payments on their own cards! Wow! I told the teller I will close my account and she simply said “Okay”. As much as banks try’s to open accounts, they try just as hard to close an account. Customer service at this location is awful! Not the first time I’ve experience this at this location.

This is the worst branch ever! I went in there to get a temporary card, since mine was lost. The incompetent person who helped me, Alexis somehow printed my name on the card as my middle and first name, instead of first and last.. She assured me this was a "system error" but it would be correct on my new card. Apparently she changed it on my account completely and now I am unable to get any information, since my name is incorrect. I can't even call to get any info! When I called the bank to complain, she answered the phone, and then hung up on, and did not let me talk to a manager. Incompetent and terrible.

Probably one of the worst bank to bank with they will have there weeks and not even the manager will resolve an issue with an existing account terrible to bring my mom there everyday for 3 straight weeks and still can’t unblock her account worst customer service like what else are the tellers and bankers good for. Other than pulling money and depositing money worst bank I don’t suggest this bank to anyone because they will randomly block you out of your own account.

While the tellers are always very nice I find the overall Customer Service of this branch quite poor. It starts with management. I was told when COVID-19 hit that I could mobile deposit for our business. So I attempted to do so only to find our account is somehow not eligible. Next time in the bank I asked about it. A manager looked up our account and told me we should be able to and she didn't know why the app wasn't letting us. That's as far as she was willing to take it. So no resolution and I must continue going into the bank to make deposits as we don't have a debit card for our account. So at least once a week this whole time I have gone into the bank. Regularly I see more than 2-3 workers standing around and talking with 1-2 tellers helping customers. They watch as the line gets longer and longer and make no move to help get the people in line on their way. And now that masks are required there is a sign on the door requiring we wear a mask to enter. No problem, I am happy to comply with that. But please explain why we are required to wear masks and the workers are not? Two people, who appeared to be in management, both had masks on but not covering their noses as is the proper way to wear the mask. And the teller that helped me had hers hanging from her ear not covering her face at all. Beyond masks and allowing lines to pile up we have made more than a few attempts to set up a meeting with our Business Banker to go over several things on our account. He returned my calls once and never again. We tried going into the branch only to be turned away and told no one there could discuss our line of credit or current credit card accounts with us, that we must schedule a meeting with our Business Banker. The one who does not return phone calls. Basically, we have our business accounts here and are seriously considering moving them based on the poor Customer Service both in branch and when we call. We continue to run up against brick walls when we try to handle anything with our accounts. That plus poor Customer Service in branch do not bode well for us keeping our accounts with Citibank.

I went in to open an account but both Citibank agents were with other customers so I had a seat, two other ladies came in and had a seat, one agent came out and talked to one of the ladies and then asked us all who was there first and I said that I was, the agent then instructed the other agent to help the lady and then told her that I was there first and to help me, she said that after the person she was helping that she had to go to lunch. I waited and after the agent came back from lunch she tapped the lady on the knee and said I will help you now. I waited for over an hour and got slighted. I will never go back to this branch again and may not stay with this bank.

These guys are awesome!!! I love their responsiveness, the bank manager and all their bankers are just wonderful human beings to deal with. It is the old time quality service in a modern bank. I wish I started banking with this branch and these people years ago. And I am very happy to have my mortgage here, They just make banking easy. Thank you for all your assistance and advice guys!!
