Just want to give this great restaurant another review. It’s been at least 3 years now since we first tried this place. The dishes remained delicious and always consistent with the ingredients, authentic. We celebrated anniversaries and birthdays here too because the staff also very friendly. We always feel at home here. Great service which is very hard to find now. Thank you Maya Thai!

Called Maya Thai El Sobrante by mistake instead of Vallejo. When I realized my mistake I tried to call back and offered to pay for the food even though I could not pick it up. The kind lady on the phone declined my offer to pay bcoz I did not pick up the food. Great gesture, I appreciate her integrity .

This place has the best Thai food around and compared to a lot of Thai restaurant's I've been to the prices are reasonable especially for the portions they give...if your a fan of duck I would recommend the basil duck. The curries are so good nice and creamy not watered down like some places... pad Thai is one of the best I've had the green beans are so good my picky daughter even cleared the plate this small family own/ran restaurant has been my go to since they I discovered this place the staff are super friendly and makes you feel like part of the family!!!! Do yourself a favor stop by and eat there you won't be disappointed I promise

I called for take out and the experience was excellent, start to finish! I was happily surprised when they called me to let me know the food was done and when I went to pick it up the chef said hello and we all chatted for a few minutes. So in addition to the excellent customer service the food was amazing! I got the roti and some Pad Thai and you must get the peanut sauce to dip the roti in. Everything is fresh with the perfect amount of flavor and the portions are great! Will definitely be back!

High quality ingredients and authentic Thai and Laos food. Their Thai dishes are better than 99% of Thai restaurants outside of Hollywood. Not cheap but very good.

My question is, since they use coconut milk for Curries. Is it too hard to put a splash of coconut milk in Thai ice tea? Everything we asked for the answer was "We Dont do it". Please work on it, some people are lactose intolerant.

This place is REALLY good AND they can make a lot of their dishes gluten free!! Broccoli Delight is very good and my wife likes the Asian Garden. I had the chicken Satay recently and it was very good too We had it take out twice and dine in once. Server was very nice and we liked her choice of slow jamz music from the 90's and early 2000's. It can be very spicy if you like that.

I had the mild Tom Yum soup with the large flat noodles. The soup was very delicious and hearty. There was just the right mixture of lemon grass and sourness to satisfy a last minute dinner craving. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Outstanding fresh Thai and Laotian meals in El Sobrante. After two visits I know that this will be a new go-to restaurant for my wife and me. We tried the trout salad, green curry, crab fried rice, curry noodles, and the mango sticky rice. The vegetables were FRESH, and the coconut milk was flavorful. They adapted the spice to our mild preference without the dishes losing their rich flavors. The menu is large and I can strongly recommend this restaurant even if you don't usually like Thai food.

This place in my opinion, is the best local Tai Restaurant. Every plate I have tried has been packed full of flavor and the right amount of heat per dish. The staff is great here, very friendly and very attentive, I have never seen my glass of water empty during lunch. The decor is a unique hybrid of traditional and modern, the seats are comfortable and there is a TV with music videos playing for atmosphere. ( My kids love that. My wife recommends the Khao soi I recommend any of the pan fried noodles like pad ki mao. My kids loved the pad Tai. The chicken satay is good and the curry puffs are a unique explosion of flavor.
