Very inconvenient and worst bank to deal with. They always have a reason why they can’t help you or compete what you need completed. Also, caution as this establishment once had employees who committed fraud and took customer account information. Our account was always hacked into when we had an account there. But dealing with Altura on any level is horrible!!! Something so simple is always difficult with Altura Credit Union. I would recommend any other bank but Altura!

Altura Credit Union does have quality products, rates and incentives. However, regarding staff’s punctuality, ability to manage their time efficiently and meet deadlines is a complete joke. I started my refinance process 9/4/2020 and it is now February 5, 2021 with an unknown closing date. I will never again be refinancing or utilizing their mortgage department. I was passed along to different people, experienced poor communication in keeping me up to date. The lack of responses to emails, text and phone calls was all I needed to know on how members are valued. The car buying experience on July 2020 with their service rep was amazing. She was upfront, detailed and punctual. She was informative regarding add on and services available to members such as cheaper rates with gap insurance and interest rates with autopay. That I have to give the Indio branch credit.

For being a long time customer, I feel really unappreciated. Besides the fact that I never received my new debit card, there is a bigger issue at hand. I bought out my lease through Altura February of last year (2020) and was told I'd be called in when they received the new registration and title for me to sign over to them. Fast forward 2 months later and I never received a call to go back for my items, but I received warning letter telling me to sign over the title or my interest rate would go up. I called immediately and was told not to worry about it and that my title and registration has not came in, but they will call me as soon as they do. I drove around without tags or registration all year and still have not received a call. It is 2021. My tags are now due for another renewal. I have been reaching out to Altura all month and have not received a single response. I have made on time payments to Altura and have kept my accounts in good standing for over 12+ years and this is how they handle a long time customer. This should tell you a lot about the company. UPDATE: It has been exactly a year since I started the lease buyout package and Altura has still not fixed my issue with title and registration. When I last spoke to Mayra at the Indio branch she told me it's "on the DMV's timeline", but I have been in contact with the DMV for months, calling almost everyday and they have not received any documents from Altura and my lease buyout process hasnt even started. Obviously, the Indio branch does not have a clue what is going on with my situation. After calling Altura's DMV dept countless times since the beginning of 2021 they contradict what they originally said and tell me they are waiting on Toyota Financial to send over lien transfer. (They have been waiting on toyota since last year.) Altura has taken no action. I don't think altura realizes how much of an inconvenience this is, and frankly, I don't think they care at all as long as they get their money. I waited in the DMV for three hours just to be able to renew my registration and for the associates to figure out how to help me and it still isn't officially processed. On top of that there were over $1000 in dmv fees, because of Altura's negligence. I now have to drive around with a temporary operating permit and unofficial registration. Not to mention I was unable to work my side job as a driver this whole past year because of lack of title and registration, all because Altura has not did their job. Ridiculous and unprofessional.

I would rate this place no stars if i could! I spoke to multiple representatives on the phone and had gotten all of the details of everything I’d need to solve my issues and drove 2 hours to come here. When I arrived everything the representatives had told me wasn’t true. The employees at the desk were extremely rude and unhelpful. Every time I spoke or asked a question simply because I was confused, i was cut off and told “I’m gonna speak to someone on the phone so do you want to talk or do you want my help” The representative Rosa also yelled out all of my information in front of the entire place. I was extremely embarrassed and left in tears. I hope I will never have to return to this place again

This place is disgusting! They were nothing but rude and disrespectful the whole time I needed help because they misinformed me about my vehicle. Then decided to raise their voices at me the whole time and cut me off. The representative rosia should be fired for the way she speaks to customers. The manger was the only one who acted like she cared about my situation. NEVER GO HERE!!!! If I could I’d give 0 stars.

Have been with Altura for 6 yrs and counting and the staff is very pleasant, courteous and during this pandemic very efficient. I hope to keep banking with them and my children will hopefully use this bank as there institution as well. Thank you

Opened a checking account to have as an emergency fund.. Had it opened for a year. Applied for an auto loan, 700 plus credit score 65k annual income no collections. Was told I was denied because of active child support which I was never behind on or late. Got the loan in 15 minutes with a big mega bank instead.Staff is fine. App is absolute garbage. And so is their ethos. Just find a good bank like Chase and save ypur time and money.

I have always had great experiences with Altura,. Employees there are always professional. I would also like to suggest that if anyone is looking to invest money that they contact their Financial consultant Wayne Sellers he has done very well with my families financial portfolio.

Used the atm to deposit and it canceled partway through, returning just about 1/3 of my deposit and keeping the rest. Immediately went into the branch to get it resolved and was given the runaround and the BS answer "we don't service those atm's, call and file a dispute." Worst banking experience of my life, I won't ever be back.
