Usually I like credit unions but CoastHills is completely unprofessional. They lost the paperwork for my car loan so I was unable to sell my car for a year. They claim that I am not able to close my deceased spouses account under any circumstances. So I get a $5 statement to remind me of my loss two years later.

Came in to get a loan for a car and the banker Karen didn't seem that eager to help us and after finally doing so didn't try to get an answer on our loan application and just said to call tomorrow. So I went down the street to US bank and got myself a car loan. The money was in my account in minutes. Thank you US Bank!

I have been a customer for many years. Normally I do not have a problem but today was a nightmare. I went through the drive thru and submitted my Debit Card for a withdrawal of $300. I requested a $100 bill and the remainder in $20 dollar bills. I was told they were busy to please wait. It was just before 3pm. 15 minutes later I got a receipt for someone's deposit. I tried to get their attention but I had to be loud to tell them they sent the wrong tube. I wrote " this is not mine" on it and sent it back I decided to call the office using my phone to tell the manager what happened. Never got an answer. Called twice. I waited another 5 minutes before I was asked for my ID, then I had to sign a receipt, then I got my money. Took me 25 minutes. Ridiculous!

This is a terrible bank!!! I spoke with three representatives over the course of 2 hours tonight. I am in Mexico. I did not realize I needed to let them know I was going on vacation and now I have no access to my funds. Boy will I never make that mistake again. THREE PEOPLE!!!! This is a serious situation! How am I supposed to get a hotel room tonight? The first person disconnected me. The second person told me they had solved the issue, after which I figured out the hard way that it was not resolved. Not sure if they just lied or are incompetent, or which is worse. Third person hopefully helping now... we’ll see. I believe it’s a third party now. I explained that this is serious and I don’t want to sleep on the street alone in a foreign county. Apparently it’s not important to your bank. Not only am I completely appalled, I am scared. Furthermore, the bank tellers at the San Luis Obispo branch are always cold and rude, which I will mention, since I am here writing this review. I would like to say, however, that the tellers at the arroyo grande branch and incredibly nice and always helpful.

The people are always nice. My husband has banked here for awhile so the convenience of their availability in whatever town we live in helps. They were also able to give us a new loan on our vehicle with lower payments with less interest. Thanks 😊

My brother and I were depositing money on two separate machine's inside and the banker sent us the wrong capsules. I never received one and my brother somehow received mine. Imagine if my brother wasn't there or if it was another person, then they would have taken my ID card and my balance slip. When my brother told the banker about her mistake, it's like she didn't even care. This bank is unprofessional and doesn't care about the privacy of their clients.

Just about had enough with this bank. The ATM hardly accepts deposits because it is out of service most of the time. The phone system sucks. The "virtual teller" has completely destroyed any chance for any type of interaction with tellers. I'll be switching banks to another credit union. And I'm a customer of 18 years...

Terrible automated phone service. Tried several times to call the number associated with a credit card offer that I received, no response whatsoever. Tried the local AG number and Lomoc number after dealing with the automated system which kept going around in circles. Tried speaking with someone live without success; after pressing zero as requested; kept returning to previous menu. I even tried applying for their platinum rewards visa card offer online at the website provided and after entering the required email information, kept getting referred to an inactive page over and over. I give up. This experience really sucked. You would think that they would make it easy for the consumer but this will cause them to lose current customers. Quality customer service and ease in accessing them is a KEY ingredient and what I'm looking for. CoastHills isn't ready yet.

Can't call the branch. 3 calls 3 different answers. I have cashiers written to me by Coast Hills but they will not cash them without having an account with them. it's THEIR checks.

I am a member with a different credit union. I stopped at this branch today (a Saturday) because it was the only one open neat me, the other one being 20 miles away. I went in, and noticed that they had no tellers, only atms with pneumatic tubes...the "Customer Service" rep, who should be retrained, informed me that she couldn't guarantee that my deposit would post in a timely manner, as I would have to do it through their ATM. I informed her that the branch I usually go to in Nipomo, which isn't open on Saturdays and has REAL TELLERS, deposit and it posts immediately. She told me, in a rude tone, that if I required a "REAL PERSON" I could wait till Monday or drive the twenty miles to Santa Maria, but I would have to hurry as they close at 1!!!!!!!!!! I was planning on opening an account with this credit union at my local Nipomo branch, but due to the rude treatment by this employee I will not. I would rather go back to a traditional bank like Wells Fargo or BofA that has "REAL PEOPLE" working their branches than deal with this inexcusable rudeness!!!
